She previously managed a multi-million dollar financial firm with an exceptional track record. Riley knew she should not feel insecure, but the fact that Daisy and Adrian had a history together stirred those feelings. “It’s new to me, but I am up for the challenge.” Daisy smiled at everyone, saying, “Grandpa Abner, Adrian, and Riley, if you trust me, I will do my best to handle the health entity of the King’s Enterprises.”

Daisy asks and she looks at her then at us before nodding. “They all stayed here, no one has heard from them in days.” She walks in and we go through, the women are sitting there, and look up at us confused. Some look at Daisy in awe, and she does look amazing. She has on a beautiful elegant gown and all the jewellery we gave her. Mary has gone, we let her past the border, and she won't ever get back in. Daisy turns and looks at me, holding out her hand. I hand her the envelopes. Each one is named. Taking them she sits at the table.

Daisy watched the scene before her hurtingly. She didn't know what came over her. She found herself smashing the bowl of warm water on the floor and running out of Meridith's chamber crying in a terrified tone. She didn't know where she was running to that night but she kept on running. She finally got to the fountain which was her favorite place. She poured her heart out by crying but she lowered her voice the moment she heard movements. It was the Alpha's carriage. Daisy wiped her face immediately.

I glance at the ground, a singular happy daisy looking right up at me. My fingers are gentle as I bend down and pluck it from its place and twirl it between my fingers. A small smile pulling at my lips as I bring it to my nose and breathe in its soft floral scent.

I glance at the empty seat one more time as I settle down in my assigned seat beside Louise, my irritation already eating through my bones. Where the hell is Daisy? Is she coming down later? I can't miss my chance tonight. “Father, where's Daisy?” Louise asks, as if reading my mind. “Oh, I forgot,” Alpha Caldwell lays his fork down. “Pardon me everyone. I've been very busy and forgetful these days. Daisy is not going to be joining us this evening. She has gone ahead to the camp grounds for the annual warrior competition. Tomorrow, she will be representing us in the competition.”
