I tried to grin and it hurt.
“Enough,” Ace said, finally holding off his dog. He was acting calmer. He was hiding his anger well. He was not as mad as I had seen in Tanzania. It was a little surprising or suspicious, considering I knew where his son was.
“I’m going to ask you about Theo,” he paused, a promise in his words, “But first I need to know if Diya is a part of this. Did you convince my wife to betray me?”
“What are you talking about?” I looked at him, wheezing. Filip smirked, knowing he caused the strain. I ignored him and looked at Ace.
