when it comes to gist and details about her life so she left no details when she was telling her about Ohio, they sat and talked for almost an hour before other students of literature started coming in, they knew their class was about to begin so they ran for the front seat so they could get a better glimpse of there lecturer and a better view of everybody who was giving an opinion on the book to be reviewed. "Calm down sis, you would soon know what we will be reviewing" Mirabel teased. In a few minutes, the lecturer came in and started the clas

He instructed the class. How many times has someone mentioned the word 'different' since I got here? At the fundraising event, I heard that word about ten times from the people my aunt introduced me to. How am I different? I wanted to tell out. He walked over to the table in front of the class and passed me a book. I realized it was a novel; Purple hibiscus by Chimamanda Adichie. "That's the book we're currently studying, you can take it with you to your seat. Also, you can take the seat beside Webster" He dismissed me and I was bothered about how I'm supposed to know who Webster was.

Book Zombie
Pretty good so far, I'm broken hearted where I'm at in the book. Author keeps commenting about people asking for steamy scenes but it's a "teen book". Would love to read a rewrite one day with more detail about a few things that have happened and of course those steamy scenes, LoL.
@it's me!
wait what! I can't believe this ended like this.......I was hoping it to end some other way but everything don't go as you think....so yeah I have to say that this book was a awesome read...and with a really different story line .. thank you so much dear author for sharing it with us.

Fima_Writes "Greetings sis. I'm Yoyinsola and one of your new followers on Instagram and Twitter. I just started reading the best Nigeria novel you wrote titled Drama in Royal Priesthood which I find very interesting even though you keep us on suspense. So I decided to read all your books because they are so interesting and amazing. I love what you do. Continue and don't stop." @yinsola "Hy there. Just started reading it and so far I'm absolutely loving it." @ClouddustSpace

Midnight Strokes

He looked at Adeyemi first. “Explain.” She kept her voice level. “Sir, there have been rumours. False rumours. My students have been preparing hard for WAEC Literature mocks. I offered extra time after school for focused revision. Nothing more.” Principal Ibrahim turned to the boys. “Khalid. You’re class captain. Speak first.” Khalid met his eyes without flinching. “Sir, it’s exactly what Ms. Adeyemi said. We stay late sometimes to discuss texts. Things Fall Apart, The Lion and the Jewel, past questions. That’s all.”

Till I Met You

Till I Met You

Joni got a piece of paper and quickly scribbled something on it then subtly passed it to him. "You didn't have to... but thanks." The note read. "You're welcome." He muttered. "Next class, we're going to study African literature. Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Adichie so everyone must have a copy of it." She informed them as the bell rang. "Don't come to my class if you don't have it." "Is it available in the book store?". One of the students asked. "Not yet but I'll talk to the principal about it." She answered.

Agbai said. "His lifestyle or morals has nothing to do with his economics," I said. "Okay, I agree with you on that one. Um... You said you read Nigerian books, which one have you guys read." "Chimamanda's Purple Hibiscus, Americana, a whole lot," I said. "But I like Wole Soyinka's A Dance In The Forest and..." I paused to think of the other book. "Things Fall Apart," Raymond added. "Yes, that's it. Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart." I said.

Behind The Gate of Lakeview

Behind The Gate of Lakeview

I've never read any of them. It was only after he spoke that I realize he was behind me. I thought he was still sitting on the bed. I run my hands over the book, my eyes catching the titles, A fresh Start, For Mbatha and Rebecca, Agony in get voice, Felicia, The betrayal, for better for worse, Evbu my love... I pulled Evbu, my love out. It's actually my best pacesetter novel. I flipped through the pages and sniffed it.

At Arm's length

At Arm's length

I look forward to being a well known writer like, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie, the late legend; Chinua Achebe, Nnedi Okorafor, Wole Soyinka, Colleen Hoover, Ted dekker, Sidney sheldon, Dean Koontz and so many others. I don't think I have ever seen anyone who reads wild like I do. My love for books is out of this world, I just purely love good books, like really really good books with awesome plots. I can't be spotted anywhere without holding a novel. I was about to read one, 'Home coming' by Yaa Gyasi.

Ikechukwu Williams
One of the most refreshing and heartwarming novels I've read. A real page turner, full of wit and humour, with very relatable characters. It successfully makes a captivating yet realistic depiction of young love within a modern Nigerian society.
Illustrious Joy
An inciting read with spurs of savory romance, humour and subtle wit. I so much love the bond between Adesewa and Kenechukwu. The writer's pen keeps brewing scintillating scenes about them that it leaves me with an insatiable urge for more chapters. Big ups to you dearie❤

MAY

MAY

He furrowed his brows, "Why? I thought you said you wanted to read?" "I don't know every word. Just four or five." "Then why do you act like you actually understand?" "I want to make Mommy happy with me." Her eyes shifted to her shoes. "And I want to know all the big words in the dictionary." Iby smiled then he bent down to her level, "Listen Maryam. If you want to know bigger things, you start from smaller ones." He started. "You see all those famous Nigerian authors like Chimamanda Adichie, Lambert Ototo, Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka. They all started by learning and understanding the smaller things. Understood?"

May represents a large number of women that are constantly abused in their homes but still manage to smile and live through it. I hope women in similar situations reading this book get some of the happiness that May gets.
The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful
