Not because I wanted to protect Martin. I wanted him fired, sued, and afraid of elevators for the rest of his life. But another anger had been sitting in my chest since noon.

This is now.” Lennox narrowed his eyes, a mix of curiosity and concern creeping in. “Who is she?” Damian didn’t hesitate. “Ximena Antonio.” Silence stretched between them for a full five seconds. “Wait—*the* Ximena Antonio?” Lennox asked, clearly stunned. “As in Miguel Ricardo’s ex-wife? That Ximena?”

Damien’s POV The others exhaled together, snickers, laughter, approval laced with malice. “Goddamn,” Dev muttered with a grin. “That’s brutal.” Mateo shook his head, laughing under his breath. “You’re sick.” Jaxon, though, leaned back, grinning like a soldier ready to go to war. “And when you finally take her—what then?” I looked at him. There was no amusement in my eyes now. “I’ll break her so beautifully, she’ll forget her own fucking name. Then I’ll remind her.”
