~ DREAM~ As I am soaking my body in soap, taking a steaming, hot, humid, shower. All I heard around me was breathing. “Who's there?” I hollered at the shower curtain. But no one answered. “Avery are you fucking with me?” I asked, but once the curtain pulled aside, I knew instantly it wasn’t her. It was Dane, with three men behind him. He grabbed me by the neck. Dragging me into my room, throwing me on the bed. They all lean over me and tie me up to the headboard. Terrified of my life, I kick and kick, but it basically does nothing but give them more power to want to take advantage of me.

"You're right about one thing—Isla didn't struggle in the water. But you're definitely struggling now, just not the way you think. You're struggling to hold on to your lies. "Judging by how strong your voice is, your lungs are perfectly fine. But anyone who nearly drowned would suffer lung damage—difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, coughing. You don't have any of that. You faked your drowning, pretended to be dead, and planned to disappear after cashing in my prize ticket, didn't you?" He staggered and almost fell but was strong enough to maintain his stance. "I'm not treating her son like garbage; I'm just eliminating an imposter," I muttered, staring down at the ground beneath. He huffed and cursed sassily, spinning around to face me. "If I'm an imposter, then where is Damion?" He snapped, glaring murderously at me. I smirked evilly and turned, shuffling towards him while he backed away from me in fear. "That is what I want to know and only you can give me that reply," I muttered and grabbed his shoulders, pulling him closer while I sank my nails into his flesh, earning a wince from him.

“She’s terrified.” I moved back slightly as they both turned to me, wishing I could disappear into the headboard or something. “And from the look of things…” His gaze trailed over me. “…she genuinely believes she’s… Heather Cole.” He said the name with furrowed brows, which did nothing to calm my racing heart. Because I was, in fact, Heather Cole, were they going to force me into believing I was their relative or something? I looked at each of them in disbelief and spoke up despite my pounding heart. “Um, I don’t know what kind of misunderstanding this is,” I whispered. “But uh, it would be highly appreciated if you guys would let me go… home.”

“Where?” “Somewhere to hide. You exposed him. He’s not going to let you live.” She was right. I would practically put the hothead on the chopping block myself. There was no way he would let me get away. “Where can I hide?” “I know a place he’ll never find. Don’t come out until tomorrow’s vote.” “Why are you helping me?” “I’m on your side.” After she revealed that, everything about the game suddenly became much clearer. There were five impostors in total — Me, the young man, the hothead, the old lady, and the man who had been punished in the church for lying.

" My heart sank at Adam's outrageous words. I was about to put up a fight when Mom and Vanessa, who had just hurried back from another city, showed up with a group of people. They were able to stop Adam in time. Mom slapped Adam's hand off me, her gaze as sharp as a falcon's. "From the way I see it, your precious fake heir is the one who actually cheated in the exams!"

There seemed to be a dark stain on her beige top, and her entire face looked swollen. "Follow me, quick!" I screamed. My hand found the rice I'd wrapped in red paper the day before, and I hurled it at her. She seemed startled and took a step back. "Piper, it's me, Roxie. I'm not going to hurt you," she insisted. "I'm here to help you escape." "Stop lying to me! I saw the news! You went missing a long time ago! The cops said you're dead," I shrieked, spiraling into a panic.

I know it seemed like a long shot but hope was all I had at this moment. Looking back at Fredrick, I saw him focusing hard on the man in front of him. I knew he could feel that I was on to something- he had a way of reading me even if a million other things were happening all around him. Looking at him made me determined, we would survive this. I counted to three before I started the only plan I could come up with under this much pressure: I went around and pushed the imposter straight into Fredrick before running at full speed to the rock.
