Liam hesitated, looking down at our son. The baby stirred, tiny fists curling against his chest. For a long moment, Liam didn’t answer. Then he said, quietly, “Daniel. I was thinking about it for a while, but I did not want to ask because I knew that you might have something that you wanted in your mind.”
I blinked, surprised by the gentleness in his tone. “Daniel?”
He nodded. “It means ‘God is my judge.’” His thumb brushed over the baby’s tiny hand. “He deserves a name that carries strength without pain. A name that isn’t born from war.”
