The house was pact, and I could see the security guards trying to keep the paparazzi out of place. I move my head around and smile as I see Danny sitting up front, right at the end of the runway. God- he looked handsome. He wore a navy buttoned-up with a light gray suit. It fit him perfectly, making his gray eyes pop even more. It was as if he sensed my staring and turned, smiling and winking at me, making me blush. I smiled, bit my lip, and lowered my head to hide my blushing.

I need a moment to compose myself before announcing our arrival. “Next up is Hailey Stanford. Come on out, Hailey.” I recognize Danny’s voice from one of the men up front, and a sigh of relief slips through my lips. Out of all of them, Danny seems to have the most faith in me. I’m still curious as to why, though, as he’s never seen me dance. He’s just assuming I’m any good, and for all either of us knows, I’m going to blow this entire tryout.

I didn't take part in the elite warrior assessment trials usually, so I didn't want to make it seem suspicious. "Great, okay. I'm going to go ahead and meet Max and Anthony." Oh my God! Where is he now? Did anything happen to him?” Kira smirked. “Not yet.”

Danny stood where he was, the flames in his palm still burning hotter by the second. Once Monica had completely disappeared downstairs, he flung the fire orb straight into the pile of supplies. The boy crossed his arms, not happy. I walked over, looking down at his dark features. My gut twisted as the man said, “Gotta listen to Mom and Dad, little man. They know what’s best.” Even though I looked at the boy, I saw Ellie swallow hard. Pain flashed across her face. “My daddy died. He was a soldier,” Danny clarified, all innocence and honesty. Strong and proud despite his small size. “I see you in him every day,” Ellie had whispered to the waves the night I followed her on her fishing adventure.

After retrieving his luggage, and clearing customs, he walked out of the arrivals hall to meet his friend and colleague Paul Watson waiting for him by a SUV, with and agent standing behind him and holding the door to the backseat of the SUV open. After exchanging pleasantries, they got into the car, and some minutes later they were driving through the early morning Lagos traffic, to the hotel where Rodriguez and his partner had lodged in earlier.

Saying that, Danny stood up from the sofa, prepared to return to the side of the troops, and started making preparations with both hands. "Take good care." Before leaving, Danny gave Jordan a disdainful look and saw the same indifferent expression in his eyes. He angrily drove back to the army in a jeep. Once again, Aliana and Jordan were left alone at home. "Ali, let's take a few days off and have some fun. Is there any place you want to go?" Jordan watched as Danny walked away, then suddenly approached Aliana with a gentle smile on his face. Where did you play?
