Danny spit out. He sounded as if he was choking on something. It didn’t sound normal. The other voice was too soft for Frank to hear, so he tried to move faster. "Hurry up and heal me," Danny yelled. The other voice whispered some more, making Danny very angry. "What are you talking about? This wasn’t part of the plan," Danny gargled out before Frank heard a quick swipe of a blade.

Diana was frozen unable to run away from him. "So, seven years is not enough huh!" Danny added mockingly. "Danny!" "Danny what? Diana life is too short and unpredictable. Thank you for hitting me that day, it brings back what I forgot hiding in my subconscious." Danny enunciated with a smile. Diana froze! "What do you mean?" She asks not believing him. Danny laughed, "Should we play while talking? I have money to buy chips!" Diana turned pale. Before it was Diana who asked Daniel his brother to play and buy chips bragging she was a good player.

"Where's your little grandson today? He must be quite big now." "Well, when my grandson caught wind of a supposed 'bad person' coming, he got a little spooked and started crying. His parents thought a playtime outing might do the trick," Danny replied sarcastically. The atmosphere tensed as the unspoken question lingered. Who could this bad person be? Ironically, it was Danny. Despite being tagged as the bad guy, Danny managed to keep his frustration at bay. Mustering a smile, he countered, "Hector, your sense of humor remains as sharp as ever. After all these years of friendship, how could you paint me as the villain?"

And yet, he never once defended himself. It is as if he enjoys being feared. "Hi Danny!" I chirp and wave at him. Danny looks at me wide eyed and grunts. "Don't call me, Danny." Thomas gives me a warning glance as if to tell me I shouldn't talk to Danny. What do they think will happen if I talk to him? Is he going to murder me? "That's your name, isn't it?" I wink. "The name is Daniel. And don't fucking talk to me."

“Dude, what the fuck? That’s too far. We’re not—” “Dare is dare,” Dylan cut him off, already reaching for the bottom of my hoodie. “You picked it, Danny. Now Strip.”

“There’s someone else—someone more powerful pulling the strings. The Blackmoon Pack… they’re just a tool.” Luca’s fingers twitched, his control slipping for a brief second. “Who?” Damian hesitated. I took a step closer, lowering my voice. “Damian, if you don’t tell us now, you know what will happen.” He looked at me, something unreadable flashing in his eyes. And then he sighed. “I don’t know his real name,” he admitted. “But they call him the Phantom.” The room seemed to tilt. Luca’s grip on Damian loosened just slightly. “The Phantom?”

I sucked in my breath as I identified that voice, that stinking voice who could forget it. "Danny," I yelled, "Leave me" I wished it shouldn't be him for, for God's sake...! Anybody but him...! How could god be so cruel to me? Instead of leaving me, he leaned forward, his lips almost touching my cheek, and whispered, "What's your chit number?" My eyes widened, I do have a chance of escape. "What's yours?" I retorted a question immediately, if it is Eleven, I swear I am going to gulp that chit down my throat instead of becoming his partner tonight.

His jaw worked, opening and closing like he wanted to say something but didn’t know who he was more afraid of. He looked like he was two seconds away from folding. And that was all I needed. I stepped closer and crouched in front of him, close enough that he had to tilt his head down to avoid my eyes. "You," I said quietly. "What’s your name?" He swallowed hard and glanced at his feet. "D-Danny." "Danny." I leaned in just a little. "Look at me." His gaze lifted slowly. "You don’t want to die for a ghost, do you?" I asked. "For secrets that aren’t even yours? For a man who won’t even remember your name when this is over?"
