Dany said, holding out a piece of paper. Em frowned but took it, looking down to see some numbers written on it. “It’s my number. Just .. if you ever need to call me for anything. Or if you know .. Staring up at the man, Ember shivered at his cold tone, “Who are you? Move away slowly. I just want to go back to work. I don’t know what you are talking about. Thank you for getting me out of there, but I need to go.” She stood up and tried to move passed him, but he didn’t budge not even an inch. “I asked you your name?” “You can call me Ember,” she said crossing her arms and began taping her foot. “Ok, Ember get in and scoot over.” “I’m not going anywhere. I’m due back on stage.” Just then a loud bang is heard and then voices. “Hey Keegan, are you coming with us? Hanson wants to find some food.” A tall thin man yelled across the parking lot. “We are going to Stella’s.”

I offered. “Without money!? What’s wrong with you!” “SHUT UP!!!” “Ember go and get Damian some new clothes.” Her mom orders. “Sure. Emberly said as Delaney walked through the door. Delaney's family moved here during the summer break from North Carolina. She is a Junior who ran Cross Country with Emberly. So I hadn't noticed her around much due to being too preoccupied with everything I had on my plate. When she walked in, I almost passed out from her beauty. She has long, straight black locks and brilliant bright green eyes that sparkle; her smile is out of this world. She's tall and slender but well-rounded and curvy in all the right places. I would have to say she is Hispanic, maybe, with a beautiful olive complexion

It was a video, grainy, like it had been recorded in haste. Ember stared into the lens. Her face was bruised, but her eyes burned bright. “My name is Ember. The sound of a Luke Combs song greeted me, a sound I'd come to find comforting. Danny was a huge country music fan, and if I was with him, it was playing. "Thanks again for picking me up, babe." I said to Danny, and he leaned over his sister's head to peck me on the cheek.
