Instead of heading to the Sawyer pack's center, the car was now heading toward the Gronya pack. When the door was pulled open, I immediately saw Danny standing in the night. He was clad in a long black trench coat, his silver-white hair ruffled by the night wind. His eyes were cold and distant, like a winter blizzard in the North. As the Alpha of the Gronya Pack, he was terrifyingly powerful. Seeing me, he smirked. "Welcome." I pushed down the turmoil of emotions rising in my chest and asked in a low voice, "You're not surprised to see me?"

Claire P.O.V Danny has been the Beta and Ethan Randall's right-hand man for nearly two decades. It's quite the perk for Danny; besides being the Beta, he knows the ins and outs of the money-printing business owned by the Alpha, the ruler of The Silver Fire Pack. Danny didn't answer my question immediately. He just stared at me with his light brown eyes—warm and bright colours, especially in the summer. "Is it because the Alpha already has a fiancée that this is bugging you?"

He even made an imploring expression at Rey to be involved in Jaxon and the others’ escapades. However, receiving a head shake from his best buddy, Gavin, instantly felt his heart shatter somewhat. “Our friendship ends here,” he hissed, which earned him a smack in the back of the head from Connor. “Dramatic,” Rey and Jaxon mumbled at the same time. After Gavin left, Danny was about to go to the door when Jaxon asked his friend to stay in the room. “Can you just stay in Denver?” Danny looked over his shoulder at Jaxon, who clutched the pink-haired woman’s photograph. Seeing this, Danny realized that his friend was considering the possibilities that may occur after they left for Chicago.

She clung to the wall while the boss stood up from the bed majestically, his eyes dainted at Elena who was already in tears. The boss tapped on his phone, and suddenly, hip hop music began to fill the room. Elena’s eyes widened in surprise as she tried to comprehend what was happening. “Dance, Puppy, Dance,” the boss smirked, a command laced with authority. “Dance?” Elena whispered, her hands still instinctively clasped around herself, taken aback by the unexpected demand. “Yes. You embarrassed me by refusing to dance with me at the club. Now, you’ll dance until your legs can't carry you anymore,” the boss declared, stepping closer to Elena. She recoiled against the wall, as if attempting to

Danny studies my face carefully before continuing. “Everybody’s been lying to you. Me. Clinton. The school. All of us.” I stare at him. There’s something strange in his expression tonight. Usually, Danny carries himself with this arrogant confidence that makes you want to punch him sometimes. Tonight, he just looks tense. Almost desperate. “We’re not who we told you we are.” I raise an eyebrow. “What does that even mean?” He hesitates. Then finally— “We’re werewolves.” The silence afterward lasts two seconds before laughter bursts out of me.

Before Gavin could understand anything, the whole forest was filled with the loud growls and howls of wolves. "Did you like our surprise?" Danny smiled as he looked at his former alpha while Gavin gritted his death. "Danny..." His eyes were full of anger and was ready to kill this man. Before Gavin could take a step, Danny jumped on him and at the same time hundreds of wolves appeared out of the forest following their Alpha king.

Feral: …. Paws: ….. Zero: …… Dina: ….WTF?

My eyes searched for Kylie as Penny told me all about her enemy turned friend and the fun they had on the playground now. Danny ran to me next and his chatter was a bit more broken. He was still learning how to talk and Penny spoke for him half the time so he didn't need a lot of words yet. He hugged my neck and told me to throw him, his favorite activity when I was around. Honey came and took him from me, telling him we didn't do that in the house before she, too, hugged me. "I've been talking to Chuck on the phone. I'm going to meet with him again soon, and I want you to come," She said after she put Danny back on his feet. I watched him toddle away before I acknowledged her.

Do you understand him?” I shift to get more comfortable and to be able to see Danny with both eyes. He is a prankster and does not discriminate. The wild look in his eyes tells me he is up to something and I probably won’t enjoy being a part of it.

Though it did mean she was getting better at hiding her thoughts, and while I was proud of her for that, I wasn’t too happy that she was perfecting the skill on me. I was sitting at a table talking to Xander when I saw Danny, one of the prime minister’s sons, approach Jillie. She had been standing talking to Alyx and Mina. Growing up, Danny had always been the biggest flirt I knew, even more significant than Xander, and that was saying something. I went back to listening to what Xander was saying but didn’t take my eyes off them. Danny placed his hand on the small of Jillie’s back, and before I could stop myself, a low growl escaped my lips. I went to stand, only to have Xander place a hand
