Stuck between the Royal Wolves
The Dark descendant gave no reaction to my greetings, his shoulders flexing as he strode forward, his minotaur-like figure, the fangs I had seen so clearly that night, curved and jagged and blindingly white, too many teeth for any normal wolf to possess was hidden behind the flat line of his black fat mouth.
The beast was not hard on the eye, but there was something about his face, something about the unnatural, malevolent glint in his eye, that made him much too scary to be attractive.
I faltered, clasping my hands awkwardly, unable to tell if the man was happy or sad as he approached the dias, stopping right in front of the colored stone stairs and paying no mind to the tin-armored guards
