The Succubus' Temptation

The Succubus' Temptation

When Charlotte awoke later that morning, she spent the day in the library, researching Amahl, the king of the night demons. The vampires had an impressive library filled with books relating to every topic about the occult and supernatural and she spent the rest of the day reading everything she could find about Amahl and the night demons. She was so engrossed in her research that she didn't realize that it was already evening until Harris came to inform her that dinner was being served in the dining room.

AFTER THE FALL

AFTER THE FALL

Damien. “Elara,” Lucian whispered, voice deadly quiet, “you’re going back inside. Now.” Her pulse roared. “Lucian…” “I’ll shield you. Just stay close.” “But what about…?” “Don’t argue.” His grip tightened around her hand. “I’m not losing you.” He pulled her toward the doors, body angled to block the shot. Another red flash streaked across the marble. Damien wasn’t sending a message this time. He was hunting. The ballroom lights swallowed them the moment they stepped inside, but Lucian didn’t slow. His hand stayed locked around hers, weaving through the crowd with predatory precision.

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

The light shot straight at the thin shadow. The creature didn’t scream. It broke apart like smoke in the wind, gone with a soft sigh. The light touched the possessed hunters. They blinked, waking from a deep sleep. Liam fell, crossbow bolt still in his chest. For a moment, there was silence. The crawling outside stopped. The hunters stared at Liora. She was breathing hard, the light fading from her skin. The cold presence settled back, satisfied.

Under the Blue Moon

Under the Blue Moon

I groaned inwardly and slipped down yet another side street. It was a dead-end. I furrowed my brows and leaned against the wall to keep myself from giving away my location. There was the odd little lamp here which I feared would cast a shadow on me. I paid close attention to the small group who were walking down past where I was hiding. One of their phones buzzed and let out an annoying ringtone. “Hey,” the Hunter greeted the other person at the end of the line. “We’re in the middle of looking for some werewolf right now. What’s up?”

Now that is locked ahead, it's way easier to decide to read this story or not. A strange group of younger kids appeared that doesn't seem werewolf! Now that's more like it! Mystery, tension, questions! I wonder if they are friends or enemies... and what about the hunters? Where are they...

Dark Shadows

Dark Shadows

He said. So I walked over to my desk on the other side of the room and I turned the computer on. I logging in and I started hacking into the dark web immediately and immediately I started looking at all different chatter that was happening. But none of it was vampires. It was all about the town that was taken out, but it was mostly werewolves talking about it. Communicating with other packs to try and find out more information. I’m searching on the web for hours without even realizing it when someone knocks on the door.

The Lost Pack

The Lost Pack

Parker launches into a third, while the enforcers secure the perimeter, checking for any hidden hunters. The one Parker is fighting slams the butt of his rifle into Parker’s head with a thud, then raises his rifle to fire, but a snarl rips out of me as I lunge. His shot goes wide, the dart flying past my ear as my weight crashes into his chest. I don’t hesitate. I finish him. It’s over in minutes. The hunters thought they were prepared, but they weren’t prepared for us. The clearing is quiet again, except for the ragged sound of Callen’s breathing.

Loving this book so far! Author, as many have stated in the chapter comments, 291 & 292 are repeat chapters from 283 & 284. Though I do believe they should be at 291/292 (makes more sense) and not 283/284.

FORCED TO MATE THE WEREWOLF HUNTER

FORCED TO MATE THE WEREWOLF HUNTER

The wind howled like a wounded beast over the scorched tree trunks of Hollowmere. Blackened timbers jutted from the earth like broken teeth, ash curled in the air, and blood stained the dirt where a little human village had once stood. Seraphine Duskbane crouched over a half-burnt human skull, the bone still warm. She dipped two fingers into the blood pooled beside it and smeared a crude symbol across her jaw, three vertical slashes down the cheek, a hunter’s mark. Her fingers were steady. Her heartbeat wasn’t.

The Luna’s last breath

The Luna’s last breath

Before dawn, the first hunter had successfully found Dax Riven. It was not an easy tax. The air around Dax shifted. It was thick with old magic that was sharp and invasive. He woke up instantly and rolled from the narrow cot before a sharp blade sank into the wood where his head lay seconds before. He stood up snarling with his blade already in hand. The hunter walked out of the shadows, cloaked in Council black and his eyes glowing with ritual light. “By older of the Council—”

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

But he would find out, because he was Venator, a state-approved hunter whose job it was to get the prole plague under control. For five tense minutes Gian drove the car through the streets with a lead foot. Fortunately, he knew his way around this part of town very well and so it was easy for him to find the address. However, he stared at the proper roadside parking. He just stopped across the front of the house and then they just had to follow the screams. Maddox just took the time to rush to the trunk and get his hunting rifle when he followed Gian across the driveway of a local family house.

Frequently Asked Questions

I got this! The Dark-Hunter universe is a bit of a beast because Sherrilyn Kenyon started weaving in the Dream-Hunter and Were-Hunter arcs pretty early, and then later added the Hellchaser and Chronicles of Nick stuff. It's not just one straight line.

For the core Dark-Hunter books, publication order is the safest route to avoid spoilers. Start with 'Fantasy Lover' (Julian's story), then 'Night Pleasures' (Kyrian), 'Night Embrace' (Talon), and so on. That's how most of us long-time fans experienced it, and the overarching plot about Artemis, Acheron, and the Daimons unfolds in that sequence.

Where it gets messy is when you hit books like 'Upon the Midnight Clear' (Dream-Hunter) or 'Bad Moon Rising' (Were-Hunter). They're set in the same world and characters crossover. I'd say stick them in at their publication point. Trying to read all the Dark-Hunter books first, then all the Dream-Hunter books, will leave you confused because major events in one series impact the others. The timeline is interlocked.

Honestly, my first read-through I skipped the Dream-Hunter books and was totally lost when certain characters showed up later with all this backstory I'd missed. Had to go back and fill in the gaps. The official website used to have a combined chronological list, but even that's tricky because some books have flashbacks to ancient Greece.
