I fell asleep in the car as I waited for her, but I woke up to the sound of twigs being snapped as eight men ran through the woods. They were all putting on the traditional Shinobi Shōzoku and held blades in their hands. I recognized them from the red markings on their foreheads. Shadow clan. I ran towards the cabin and saw Kelvin setting it ablaze as they ran from the shadow clan. I knew he will fight to the death to save her, so I took a deep breath and created my greatest illusion yet. I made them watch me die.

I growled from the deepest part of my chest before both my hands dug into her hair, meeting together at the top of her head as I pounded into her like I was possessed. “Oh my goddess,” she gasped as her arms flexed against the belt and her legs hooked behind my back. The Alpha of Dark Moon Pack is here!” he announced. Shane froze still, giving Nicole little time to recover. She crawled as far from Shane as possible. Her blood was smeared all over the place. With each movement, her bones threatened to snap.

Damon's smile faltered for a moment before he chuckled darkly. “Oh, he knows,” he said, his voice low and menacing. “I sent him a text last night. Told him we'd be waiting. Nikjin whipped his head around to see who had interrupted his moment of glory, and his insides burned with rage when he saw that it was his newly married nephew, Danshak. “How dare you?” He whispered angrily, as he slowly regained his footing. “I promise you, Danshak, you will not survive this night.” Nikjin lifted his head and let out a loud howl, and instantly, all the beasts stopped fighting the werewolves and zeroed their attention on Danshak. As soon as their master stopped howling, they ran toward Danshak in a maddening rush, knocking one another down in their haste to get to him.

I start to run to intercept them when suddenly the two nagatas collide with a large, sheer purple wall out of nowhere. I stand there looking stunned as the two nagata lay on the ground groaning with obviously broken noses.

“Ahsoka! Kill him!” “Ahsoka no!” Nico yells, trying to get through to me. “He has a daughter, a mate. You remember Natasha. Fight him!” Lightning strikes and hits Jackson, sending him flying across the room. He crashes into a table and falls to the ground. I can feel myself hyperventilating and my anger rising. He just made me kill him. He made me kill Natasha’s mate, her child’s father. I can feel myself gaining control my body as my anger rises.
