Aerian screeched. It was so damn dark where she was it was almost impossible to see her. Even with my wolf vision I could just barely make her out. The only part of her that was easily seen were her eyes. They were glowing brightly. There were three dead wolves lying in front of her. The others were standing there snarling at her as she stood over Benny’s unmoving form. I let out a growl as more wolves descended on us. I heard someone yell at me. As I looked over my shoulder, I saw a wolf lunging towards me. Before it could land on my back a stream of the brightest light, I had ever seen hit it. The wolf flew several feet way hitting a tree. When I looked at the wolf it was burnt to a crisp.

It took every shred of strength within me to keep my face straight and a scream from escaping my throat. A knock sounded on the door, and an auburn-haired lady waltzed in.I breathed a sigh of relief when his arm around me relaxed and he stepped away. I lowered my head again, digging my nails into my skin to keep myself from feeling the biting pain in my side. “This is Gwen, the omega I told you about. She will help you with settling in. If there is anything you need and I am not available, let her know. She will make sure you get it.” He turned to the lady who had just arrived, nodding curtly at her.

Gwen shouts, sprinting in the opposite direction. Being in my larger dragon form, it takes me a moment to maneuver around to face her. By the time I am face to face with Gwen, I see she has picked up a stray sword from the ground and has already pierced Prince Geoffrey. Geoffrey’s hands that were placed on Gwen’s shoulders trying to stop her leaving fall limp at his sides as he crumples to the ground.

Without his wolf, he felt helpless, just like he did during the blood moon. Suddenly he heard voices from the entrance of the dungeon. He rose to his feet and hurried towards the front of the cell. Without thinking, he grabbed the gates. "Fuck!" He yelled painfully as the silver burned into his palms. He snatched his hands away, nursing the wound and watching it heal slowly. Then something about one of the voices caught his attention. It was feminine, and it sounded like Gwendolyn. A moment later, the gates to the dungeons opened and she appeared.
