She knew tricks to get rid of it. The moment the blindfold from her eyes was gone, she looked at those persons in front of her with weak vision. She noticed the damaged walls, faded colours and a broken call in front of her. She knew she was just steps away from her death yet she bit on her inner cheek hard to make it bleed. Only distraction and pain could make the drug effect less. She needed to divert her concentration. Psychological setup mattered more.

I screamed, trying to find my way in the dark. The more I screamed, the farther their footsteps became. Knowing there's nothing I could do to make them come back, I sat down where I was and tears ran down my cheeks. My eyes were wide open, yet I couldn't see a thing. Everything was pitch black, and I couldn't even see my shadow. Could this be what the blinds go through? Do they also feel the same way I do at my present moment? I asked in my thoughts, even though I've got no answers for my question.

"Please, just open your eyes." Jung-Ho lightly pats Sook-Ja's cheek. The young girl, whose lifeless body is next to him, and he is kneeling. He is to blame for her current state. While returning from work, she was involved in an accident. He cries out, "Open your eyes," as his own eyes begin to blur. His skull is bruised, and tears are running down his face. He moves his fingers lightly to stroke the side of her cheek. When his hand accidentally bumps against a brand-new wound, he struggles to contain his sobs. It aches worse than anything I've ever experienced, which makes the suffering unbearable. The car is on fire and the flames are rising high into the sky.

There are days when I wonder what the world around me looks like, what the prey I eat looks like, I even wonder what my mate looks like but I'll never ask because I know that although I am blind and most likely odd looking I will never stand alone. For I am blinded but not deaf, I am blinded but not alone, I am blinded and I will always have a place within this world.

Suddenly, a deafening roar split the sky. Several armed police helicopters thundered overhead. Their blinding white searchlights enveloped the highway, lighting up the darkness like it was broad daylight.

"I just feel like trusting you... And I know Tyson too, he is a trouble" Mira closed her eyes, feeling his eyes on her. "Can you keep the light dim? I don't like darkness." Damon switched on the dim lights and watched her falling asleep. Her face looked peaceful and serene. He smiled and pushed away all the pillows while pulling her closer. He knows she doesn't wake up once she is asleep. It was also the realisation for him that she doesn't have insomnia like Durga suggested, she only gets panic attacks whenever she feels threatened.

Alison’s POV Darkness wasn’t just the absence of light; it was an endless void. It felt like being submerged in a deep, inky ocean, weightless but suffocating. I had no sense of time, no idea if hours or days had passed. Sometimes, I thought I could hear faint echoes of voices, distorted like sounds traveling through water. They were fragments, disjointed and fleeting, but enough to make me desperate to respond. My mind screamed for my body to move, for my lips to part, but nothing happened. I was trapped in this abyss, locked within myself.

Taller, sharper, somehow more…present. At first, he didn’t seem to notice me, his focus locked on the crowd still unfolding around us. But then, slowly, his gaze shifted and his eyes met mine. There was a flicker of something in his expression—curiosity? Amusement? Whatever it was, it lasted only a moment before his face returned to its unreadable, stoic mask. "Are you blind?" He asked, his voice deep and smooth, a touch of amusement lacing his words. I tilted my head, narrowing my eyes.

Finally, I stop, my chest heaving, my arms hanging heavy at my sides. "You are trying to see me," the blind man says. "That is your mistake. Your eyes are lying to you. They show you where I was, not where I am going." He taps his stick against the floor. "Close your eyes." "What?" "Close your eyes. You cannot fight what you cannot see. So stop trying to see." I look at Mark. He nods once. I close my eyes. The darkness is immediate and complete. Without sight, like the world shrinks to the sounds around me. My own breathing, and drip of water somewhere in the distance. The soft tap of the blind man's stick against the stone floor.

Work is the only way I would be able to divert my mind from this thoughts. I was working so focused to divert my mind that I didn't realize what time it was... Then suddenly I looked at the watch ...it was over 2 hours than the office closing time...oh my god...how can I be so careless..... I stood up from my seat and looked outside in the corridors... All lights were off...oh my god...everyone has left already.... I am scared of darkness... So I can't even go there...why this happens to me only.
