Nathalia’s POV As the echoes of the fierce battle fade away, our hearts race with the realization that we must continue moving forward without hesitation. The ground beneath our feet, once treacherous, now becomes even more perilous as it becomes covered in a glacial sheen. The snowfall, relentless and unforgiving, only adds to our growing anxiety. However, with each step we take, our determination to reach the safety of the pack lands strengthens. And just as exhaustion threatens to consume us, a ray of hope appears in the form of Grandma. Her face, etched with concern, reflects the love and protection she offers as she sprints towards us through the wintry air.

The wind howled through the narrow, snow-choked streets of Snowridge, as if warning anyone who dared to venture out into the deadly storm. Asha Frostheart, her face partially hidden beneath a fur-lined cloak, moved swiftly through the thick snowfall, her white wolf companion, Ghost, at her side. The blizzard's icy bite pierced through her layers of clothing, but her focus remained unbroken.

Her voice sounded so far away. “Ma'am? I need to get the box.” When I finally looked up, I saw that at least 15 people surrounded me. I slowly extended my arm to hand her the box. Someone took that as a sign and handed me a bottle of water. “ Snow?. Snow? You're pale. You should have some water. Snow?” The world spun and then everything went black. When I woke up I was in a hospital room with a nurse by my bed, taking vitals.

And it serves me well. The van swerves violently before careening off the road and slamming into a tree with a jarring thud. Then I act fast; push the door open and sprint into the dark. Racing through the wintry woods is hard, especially since I’m gasping for breath, each air I breathe stinging my dry throat; painful and difficult. Snow crunching beneath each hurried stride, I dash between the towering trees. Their skeletal branches stretching above would look more aesthetic with the snow in a picture. Yet, that’s not the kind of picture I’m seeing in my head even though I’m literally looking at a blurred form.

The silver wolf stared at me in a predatory manner, tilting his snout toward the heart of the forest, giving the advantage for the chase and the hunt! The game became electrifying. I started to run, using the color of my fur as a strategic advantage to blend into the whiteness of the snow. Each step was an intimate fusion with the cold and damp texture, feeling the soft white giving way gently under my strong paws. The unique freshness of the snow embraced me, its icy particles intertwining in the dense fur of my legs, creating sparkling crystals as I advanced.

Looking out at the snow from her vantage point gave a completely different feeling. The feathery snow did not seem to stop falling. Drawn by the scenery, she couldn’t help but put down her book to open the window and reach out her hand. The icy snowflakes fell upon her hand then quickly dissolved into nothing. This beauty was fleeting but splendid too.

This mountain was so desolate I couldn't imagine a person stumbling upon us, unless someone or something was looking. Fluffy continued to pounce through the easing snow. It was turning into a heavy mist of drizzle while his direction took us down the mountain. His paths were not organized, changing direction suddenly, stopping and going a different way. My hood and cloak were falling to my shoulders, but I dared not to pull it back up. I didn’t want to be left behind by an inevitable enemy I couldn’t see.

Raven (15 years old) The snow had been coming down since early morning, steady enough that everything looked different by the time the sun came up. By now, the paths running through the pack lands have been packed down from people walking them all day, the fresh layer pushed off to the sides where it softened everything instead of covering it. I tug my hoodie sleeves down over my hands as I walk, my breath fogging faintly in front of me. Jax is a few steps ahead, dragging his feet through the snow as he goes, kicking it up in uneven lines like he’s trying to leave something behind him on purpose. He’s still taller than me by enough that I have to tilt my head when he’s next to me.

Chapter 13: White Silence, Black Truths The summits jagged like shattered blades into the atmosphere. NOVA-7 was not just hidden in secrets—it was hidden in a region where nature itself resisted penetration. Snow pounded sideways in thick white sheets, and the path to the plant was little more than rumor etched into ice. Damien, Asher, and Bishop trudged through snow that reached their knees, their breathing foggy clouds in the chill air. Every step grated with the urgency of the moment.

Present Valarie's feet pummeled the snowy surface, her legs propelling her as furiously as they could to escape Arthur's pursuit. She did not dare look back, fearing what she would see, but concentrated instead on the path before her, hazed from view by the heavy snowfall. The flakes swirled about her like a heavy veil, rendering visibility nearly zero. Valarie tripped and caught her foot on a concealed rock, but she managed to regain her balance and keep going.
