The Law Bound Enforcer - The Legacies Series - Book Three

The Law Bound Enforcer - The Legacies Series - Book Three

Jagger POV As soon as I arrive at Dash’s club, I take a deep breath, preparing myself for the big show Grace has planned. Don’t get me wrong, I love the girl. She is the most amazing little thing, and I know she does this out of love, but she should know by now that I don’t like to celebrate my birthday. I like to stay home, reading, forgetting the world exists, and dealing with the pain of having lost everything that mattered to me.

This book was good and enjoyable but since the updates have stopped coming in a timely manner I feel like can we just skip to the end. Just a brief overview what happened since we left off to the end would be fine.

I haven't read the previous two books about Wyatt and Dash, ai sonehow came upon this one and started reading, then found out it's a series. So I already know Wyatt and Dash have kids haha, so maybe that's why this book it's more interesting to me, because I don't know the conclusion yet.

The Longing Too Late

The Longing Too Late

"Caleb, I mean it. Don't drag my name into this mess again. I can't keep showing up just to watch people laugh at you—and at me." After my parents died in a car accident six years ago, Linda became one of my few remaining family members. She used to pity me. She used to defend me. But after watching me turn myself into a public joke again and again, even she had finally reached her limit. And honestly, so had I. After the last guest left and the ballroom was nearly empty, I stayed behind to clean up the mess. A server walked over carrying a black trash bag. "Mr. Hayes," he said carefully, "I couldn't find a bag that fit, so I had to put all the letters in here."

Spring's Late Tide Was Never Yours

Spring's Late Tide Was Never Yours

I spend my days reading reports and performing fact-checking analysis until late at night. The second week, Tania shared something with me after she came home from work. "Chuck went to that old jewelry store in South City to ask about replicating your silver bracelet." I was writing when she said this, and paused while still holding the pen. Tania leaned against the doorframe and looked at me. "The old jeweller told him that the inscription inside the bracelet was hand-carved and that he couldn't replicate the exact inscription or the age of the bracelet. What he meant to say was that some broken things can never be fixed. It isn't the problem of the material, it's just that one can never tu

A Revival That Came Too Late

A Revival That Came Too Late

"Ruth, you said you'd be with me forever. Don't worry, alright? Aurora is desperately in love with me, and she listens to everything I say. I promise you that I'll marry you!" Seven years had passed, and Tyler was even more thick-skinned than before. Before I could say anything, he glared at me and snarled, "You've been Mrs. Stone for seven years. It's Ruth's turn now! She's suffered far too much, and I won't let you bully her." I smiled mockingly. "I haven't done anything. Don't try to make me out to be the bad guy." Tyler's expression darkened as he scanned me. "Do you think you're a big deal? I would've kicked you out of here ages ago if not for you having waited for me for seven years. D

Too Late for Forgiveness

Too Late for Forgiveness

"What's wrong?" Serena answered hesitantly, "Mr. Quade, something's come up. Can we take a rain check on dinner?" Beatrice's health had been declining steadily over the past two years. Serena feared this might be her last chance to see her. She couldn't bear the thought of living with that regret. But today was Wilson's birthday too, a day that only came once a year. Wilson's calm voice interrupted her thoughts. "It's alright. Where do you need to go? I'll drive you."

Too Late for Regrets

Too Late for Regrets

Half a month had passed since I last saw him, so I already missed him dearly. However, as soon as I arrived at the airport, I ran into Quinton and Zachary. They both had sullen expressions, but their faces lit up immediately when they saw me. "Mom! I knew you would come! Are those tarts for me? Thank you for these!" Zachary eagerly snatched the box from my hand. Quinton said coldly, "I told you the deadline was before three o'clock. Do you know what time it is right now? You should learn a thing or two from Lynn when it comes to timeliness!"

The Apologies Came Too Late

The Apologies Came Too Late

"Fine. Fourteen days. But if the coastal policy—" "Fourteen days!" She sighed deeply. "Enjoy the Maldives." Travis had already escaped into the corridor by the time we turned around. ***** The beach was wide and the water was the kind of blue that doesn't look real. Travis lasted approximately seven minutes before he ran directly into the ocean fully clothed. Caelum looked at me. I looked at Caelum. Then we both followed him in, shoes and all, and Priya's extra swimsuit concern suddenly made complete sense.

The Grace of Leaving

The Grace of Leaving

How can all of it be gone? Shirley frowned, and the looks from the others made her cheeks turn red. She whispered harshly, annoyed, "Max, enough drama, okay? I told you, I don't have it!" I kept staring at her, feeling more and more hopeless. "I gave you 900 bucks a month for six whole years! How can you not have 5,000?" Shirley, looking annoyed, said firmly, "Think about how much you've spent, how much you've used. Don't you remember?"

A Heart's U-Turn: It's Never Too Late

Then, he began pummeling himself on the chest. I'd kept a diary of my thoughts and emotions during the 200 days he had spent with Evie. In short, it was a record of my heartbreak. My entries had started out hopeful. Then, it gradually evolved into longing, disappointment, and ultimately, despair. I had also noted down the date that I was finally going to leave. The very last entry was my final note to him. "I don't love you anymore, Oscar Ramsay. Don't come looking for me. I don't want to see you ever again."
