MATED TO THREE, DESPISED BY ALL.
Every footfall sealed my fate further, binding me to men who despised me.
Tears streamed freely down my cheeks, unrestrained and burning.
“Even with the dress, she doesn’t look a bit like royalty,” someone muttered from the crowd.
Another voice followed quickly, sharper. “She is fit to be Luna.”
The words collided in the air, cruel and careless.
I didn’t react.
I didn’t lift my head or wipe my tears.
I didn’t want any of this anyway.
When I finally reached the podium, I stopped and stood before the Alpha triplets, my husbands-to-be. They didn’t look at me with warmth. They didn’t offer reassurance. Their faces were cold, unreadable, as if I were nothing more than an obligation.
