I slowly wrap my hand around the hilt of the knife strapped to my back. "She is reaching for her knife!" One of the assassins behind me yells. I recognize his voice. His name is Frank, and he is the absolute worst assassin that Faris put on his payroll. "Oh, shut up, Frank," I yell as I turn and throw the knife in his direction. It sticks out of his chest, and he stumbles back against the wall. "This is why no one likes you," I mumble. "She just killed Frank," one of the other men says.

"You can go ahead and try setting that fire if you dare, you wretched woman!" Draco, who had been lying inside the coffin, suddenly shot up and yelled at me with a savage expression. He had a face that resembled something out of a horror story, so much so that it was enough to make anyone's legs give out. Those present froze instantly, staring at him in absolute horror. It was then that someone finally broke down and yelled, "Draco has come back to life! He has risen from the dead!"

Seething at me. " What's there to laugh, baby doll?" He asks, and I shake my head in a no. Looking into his eyes to already see his death. Rage covers his features as he applies more pressure, but I continue to chuckle. " You death." He stills. His grip drops as he looks into my eyes in confusion. " What do you mean?" Who is going to tell him? " Your death is fun Ryder. It's the most inhuman and brutal death ever known in history."

Franklin asked, his voice was mix of confusion, and anger. He recognized the man standing a few feet away from him, and his brother. He's Darryl, one of Gonzalo's best assassin. From Franklin heard about him, there's no one in this world that he can't kill. That no matter how tight the security is, Darryl can get past them. Maybe, that is the reason why none of the security are already rushing towards them.

No light at all beyond the glass except the faintest suggestion of the unpaved road, pale as a scar, winding away into nothing. Domenico stands behind the desk with his back to me, looking at the photographs on the wall. He does not turn when I enter. He is wearing a dark shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows, and I see the watch before I see anything else. A heavy steel case on his left wrist, too large for him, the band loose enough that it sits below the bone. It catches the lamplight and holds it. He wears it the way a man wears something he did not choose but will not remove, something that has become part of the weight he carries and no longer notices.

“Then we learn. Or we bleed together.” That shouldn’t sound romantic. It should sound terrifying. And yet. A knock cuts through the moment. Sharp. Loud. Wrong. We both freeze. Frank’s hand drops instantly, his body shifting into something alert and dangerous. “Stay here,” he murmurs. My stomach sinks. “Frank” He’s already moving toward the door. Another knock. Harder. I follow him despite myself, heart hammering as he opens it. Danny stands on the other side. He looks different. Thinner. Rough around the edges. Like someone who hasn’t been sleeping and doesn’t want to admit why.

Frank slid into the seat beside me, his expression a mix of concern and curiosity. “You look like shit. What's up, bud?” Frank said bluntly, signalling the bartender for a drink. “What’s going on, Derrick?” I took a deep breath, my mind racing as I tried to figure out where to begin. “It’s Bridget,” I said finally, my voice barely above a whisper. “And Liam. And… this guy, Smith.” Frank raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. “Smith? Who the fuck is Smith?”

Danny gargled out before Frank heard a quick swipe of a blade. Frank stopped and strained his ears to hear something. Minutes passed, and Frank started moving towards the way he heard Danny’s voice. Finally, he came upon a small clearing and saw Danny’s body lying on the ground with his head a few feet away. Fear suddenly hit Frank like a tornado. He clapped his hands over his mouth and hid.

How the hell did that happen? Having no time to process these sudden unexpected mind link powers, I ran and jumped as high as I could muster, at the nearest tree. Clinging onto a branch with all my strength I managed to climb up on it before the rogue beneath me attempted to pull me down. Seconds later the rogue was shot dead by someone in the bushes opposite. I screamed in panic but then out jumped Ben and Daniel in their wolf forms along with a few of the warriors. Ben's wolf was beautiful, thick black fur and and he was extremely strong. Taking down the remaining rogues easily in a matter of seconds. We were finally safe but Ben was furious to say the least. They quickly changed back to

He howled, head snapping back. Dre handed me a rag. “Again?” I nodded. We took turns—fists to ribs, crunching; knees to the gut, making him retch. A knife drawn slowly across his thigh—not deep enough to kill, just enough to make him scream as blood soaked his pants. “Talk,” I growled, twisting the blade just a little.
