Death's Day
She could not fight something that could speak in her mind, something that could, perhaps, control her mind.
She took a tentative step towards the figure on the bed. The man was a stranger. She would not have to see him again. She shut her eyes.

She started thinking it.
On the bed, the man stirred. Annabel heard his movements, but she did not open her eyes. She was trying to concentrate.
“No, no. It’s not my time.”
The voice sounded like it was being strangled.
Do it!
Soon, she started hearing choking sounds. The man was struggling on the bed. She heard him move, twist and turn, trying to break free from her telepathic hold. The more the man struggled, the stronger she felt.
