Stay Dead This Time

Stay Dead This Time

She had escaped from the crypt. "He's not dead! He's not dead!" Daphne threw herself onto the coffin, pounding on the lid like a woman possessed, her voice so shredded it was barely human. "Stellan isn't dead! He's not dead! He's not dead! You can't bury him! He's really not dead!" The chapel erupted. Everyone stared at Daphne in shock, then at the coffin, then at each other.

THE GRAVE OF GREY AND GOLD

THE GRAVE OF GREY AND GOLD

looking helpless as he lost the only thing that made him a god: his land. "You look like you're staring at a funeral," Silas rumbled, standing by the window. His silhouette appeared massive against the grey sky. "I am," I whispered. My voice was a dry rasp, like a dead leaf when crushed. "I'm watching the burial of the Crescent Alpha. I just didn't expect the scene to look so... boring, and ordinary…" My cough broke the silence, a deep, racking tremor that made my ribs feel like they were being snapped back one by one. I pressed a tissue to my mouth that quickly soaked in a dark, thick crimson. I didn't panic; that was for people who still had a future.

All Of Us Are Dead

All Of Us Are Dead

It laughed so hard that even some of the crying stopped — people freezing mid-sob, stunned by the sheer insanity of the sound. I could feel it vibrating through my chest, every note cutting through my ribs. When it finally stopped, it wiped an invisible tear from the corner of its eye and said, still chuckling, “Have you forgotten?” Its grin twisted. “You’re also dead.” The man’s mouth fell open. “W-what?” he whispered, barely audible. The Game Master leaned down until their foreheads almost touched. “Dead,” it repeated, dragging the word out like a lover’s whisper. “Every single one of you. Including you. You died. You’re not alive.”

Dead at Heart

Dead at Heart

It was dense and difficult to digest. She would definitely need to revisit the books and literature more thoroughly once she was back home to study them in depth. A full half hour of discussion went into breaking it down, and Nancy understood only parts of it. Then, at the very end, the name of the author appeared—A. Walker. Jayson saw it too. His gaze rested lightly on that name. His eyes revealed no clear emotion beneath the surface. However, Nancy's brows furrowed instantly. That name was unfamiliar in the academic world. Besides this one paper, no one had heard of this person publishing anything else.

I read the complete Chinese version; jays and Ariel finally get together. It was a wonderful, short, and concise version. However, the English version being translated into Arabic is drawn out with too many events and characters intertwined. I didn't like the story.

The Honeymoon of Death

The Honeymoon of Death

Eventually, I moved on to a new home, a new job, and a new life. One day, I received a call from the police. The officer said, "Ms. Sawyer, good evening. We found a man who froze to death overnight at a cemetery. "He was heavily intoxicated. We traced his records and found that you were listed as his emergency contact." I exhaled slowly. "I used to be, but not anymore. Please proceed with your standard protocols." "Understood. Sorry to disturb you." After hanging up, I looked toward the sky and whispered a quiet prayer. I asked the universe to send kindness to those who truly needed it.

The executioner and the Alpha King

The executioner and the Alpha King

“Let’s see what the dead left behind.” I push it open. The room beyond is colder, darker. A hidden library—forgotten, sacred. Shelves line the walls, wrapped in iron chains, as if even the knowledge here needs restraint. At the center stands a stone pedestal. Upon it lies a book, open and ancient, its ink faded to rust and shadow. Sonia steps forward first, eyes wide. “This wasn’t meant to be found.” Behind the pedestal, carved deep into the wall, are words that make the hair rise on my neck:

Eclipse of the Dead

Eclipse of the Dead

I wasn’t sure why, but as the vehicle came to a stop and the door opened, I couldn’t shake the feeling that this would be one of those moments that would change everything. --- We disembarked quickly, our boots hitting the ground with the soft thud of urgency. The air was thick, heavy with dust and the pungent odor of decay. We kept our heads down, moving swiftly through the narrow alleyways and darkened streets. The city had been abandoned for months now, left to rot as the infection spread.

Stolen by the Alpha

Stolen by the Alpha

“That’s why the council buried it. Because it’s a suicide pact for anyone dumb enough to try.” Cassie reaches for the book with measured care, turning the pages as if they might combust. “No one ever said the old ways were kind, Lyla. Just that they worked.” She taps a passage written in a different hand—sharper, almost angry. “‘Should the fated succeed, they shall be as one. Should they fail, they are doomed to roam as beasts, unclaimed by moon or pack for all time.’”

Dead Ends

Dead Ends

Our father and daughter moments, the nights when I couldn't sleep and I'll sneak up to lie between the both of them. I looked around one last time before leaving and heading down to the place where I always saw him go to but never knew what exactly went down there. Despite the mask that covered my nose I was hit with a very awful smell probably from the blood of the victims whose lives were taken here years ago. The shelves, files, books and his weapons were all scattered. I noticed a book was opened and a pen was sitting and curiosity led me to see what was in it. I picked it up and looked at the cover to see it was the same black book as the one Don gave me.

Death of Vampires (Book #2 of BTCO)

Death of Vampires (Book #2 of BTCO)

The next day, Caitlin and Kathryn went back to Creeksville on their mother’s order to find the girl’s family and see what the people are up to and while Kathryn won’t stop talking, Caitlin’s mind drifted back to the two priests she saw yesterday and what she overheard. The priest, Aiden, had referred to them as demons taking the form of humans and he had said they will be responsible for the end of the world. It was not as if it has never crossed her mind about the dangers lurking because of the other Covens, especially the Lifeblood Coven that is ruled by Aamon. At least, he was the reason for the different Covens they have now after the death of Lady Renee, the human wife of Lord Dante. Bu
