Playing Dead and Breaking the Don-To-Be

Playing Dead and Breaking the Don-To-Be

Ella Pezzano died in the flames at Costa Estate. The woman standing here was Luna Kane, heir to the Kane family. No one would ever hurt me again. Three days later, the yacht reached Norvale Port. Our car rolled into the wealthy district downtown. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the penthouse, the bustling night view of all of Norvale stretched out before us. I stood by the window, gazing at the glittering lights, but I felt nothing. … Third-person POV Back at Costa Estate, Vincenzo had already begun his retaliation against the Camorra family.

Owned By The Dangerous Alpha

Owned By The Dangerous Alpha

This was a killing ground. I issued a low growl and shifted my attention to River. "They're not yet ready to turn,"I told him. "They're fucking dead. Dead. And they're coming back to life. I feel like I'm watching a zombie flick." "Worse, brother. Worse." So it was true that the dead could rise. While our deaths didn't come easily, we didn't return to life once we'd entered the final darkness. The knowledge was good to discover. It was incredibly unsettling.

Beauty and the Mafia Beast

Beauty and the Mafia Beast

Just grip it until the lock clicks behind me. I give the book five minutes. Maybe less. My eyes move, but the words don’t stick, the story sliding right through me. I drop it on the bed, useless weight, and my thoughts drift back to Claire. Is she walking beside Zeke right now? Or being dragged? Breathing? Dead? And then Vance. Do me a favor and die quietly. His voice at the gathering coils in my skull like barbed wire. Why the fuck say that if he planned to smuggle me out the same night?

Death and the Madness That Follows

Death and the Madness That Follows

Life couldn’t have been better. Despite that, I couldn’t help but wonder what the rest of the Duttons were up to. I knew that as long as they didn’t find a body, they wouldn’t declare a death. This led to endless speculation in society about whether the two of us were truly dead. Rumors and gossip spread everywhere, but I remained unmoved. Every day, I soaked up the sun, watched handsome men by the sea, and lived a life of pure indulgence. After half a year, though, I started to get a little bored.

The Awakening

The Awakening

Sage finally shook his head, muttering something under his breath before walking away, his shoulders rigid. When I glanced back at Diego, he was still watching me, and there was a dangerous sort of satisfaction in his gaze. That night, I couldn’t sleep. The confrontation replayed in my mind in jagged flashes—Sage’s protective anger, Diego’s calm amusement, and the way both of them seemed certain they knew what was best for me. I ended up in the library just past midnight, hoping the smell of old parchment and the flicker of candlelight might distract me. It didn’t.

Who Did I Wake Up As?

Who Did I Wake Up As?

The shock drove him to the brink of madness. Samuel stumbled out of the building in a daze. Before anyone could stop him, he walked straight into the road and was struck by a speeding car. Blood splattered across the pavement. He died instantly. The others hadn't even processed what had happened when more cars screeched to a halt, piling into one another. Tires crushed what was left of his body. Screams erupted from the crowd. Dad collapsed to his knees and fainted on the spot. In the aftermath, Jessica was arrested for intentional homicide. A year later, she was executed by firing squad.

Broken by One, Desired by All

Broken by One, Desired by All

"They tried to kill you when you were a child, Zane, and also during your Inheritance Ceremony. They failed then, and they sent their best assassin to finish it two weeks ago. But their plan backfired spectacularly. They wanted to snuff you out before your core matured, but their attack became the exact catalyst your soul needed. The awakening of Daekan spelled their doom." "I don't understand," I mumbled, my head spinning so violently I thought I might collapse. My hands trembled, and a cold sweat broke out across my forehead. "Why does a dead god waking up in my ribs mean they're doomed? I can barely control him! Half the time he just insults my hair and calls me an incompetent whelp!"

I usually don’t do reviews however I feel like this book may get overlooked. I didn’t know how I would feel reading this book at first but the author has a fantastic way of writing which is easy to read and picture. I think the romantic relationships in this book is more tasteful than I expected!

Before He Wakes

Before He Wakes

She cast her eyes around the room, catching glimpses through the eclipsing film, and the last thing she saw before unconsciousness claimed her was her copy of the Ruth Ware, the bookmark sticking out one third of the way through. I’ll never get to find out how it ends, she thought, before the black film covered over everything.

NEVERBOND

NEVERBOND

I died… ELSEWHERE I was evolved by total darkness, everything was so quiet and it was almost like I was floating in mid-air submerged in water. For a minute I thought I was truly dead..my mind felt blank and no matter how much I tried to open my eyes..but it felt impossible..my mind felt more cloudy..by every passing second and my body felt more at peace.. and soon I was forgetting what I was even fighting for..why I was resisting.. I was forgetting Jasper..I was losing my point of focus and losing my will to fight. It was almost like a spell had been put on me..I wondered if this was really death..was death so quiet?.. Was there even a reason to go back.. maybe..should I just give up..?,I

Sarah's Awakening

Sarah's Awakening

Sarah When I woke up Joshua was gently rubbing my head, whispering in my ear. “Wake up sleepy head. Everyone wants to go on a hike today.” I didn’t dare tell him I’d barely gotten any sleep. I sat up and looked around the room, trying to catch my bearings. Joshua leaned in to kiss me good morning but I pushed him away. The last thing I remembered, my mouth was filled with Nate’s semen. I wasn’t about to kiss Joshua. “Not now. I have morning breath,” I told him.

It is very well written especially since it is from the perspective of two young people exploring sex and learning about their own gratification. That is a hard concept for many youth to grasp fully.

THIS I what I want to read when someone labels their story erotica. Whew! I had to take breaks just to get myself together. There was a great balance with the storyline and erotic encounters to have me looking for another book to see if they enter a tropple or what.
