Lyka’s POV I don't feel sleepy tonight with all the things that can't just stop going inside my head. I can't stop thinking about what the old lady showed me. The pain I felt seeing the Apocalypse was just so unforgettable. I couldn't erase the painful cries of pain and the massacre I witnessed. People were covered in pools of blood, children inclusive. It was just so terrifying.

I feel so tired. I watch the ice crawl slowly towards my leg like delicate spider webs but I don’t have the energy to move a muscle, not even when the ice starts working its way over me. I know it’s gotten bad when I start to feel warm. I read a book once titled ‘The Cold Death’ and it was about people that were condemned to die in ice. They always felt warm right before they died and I wonder if that’s what’s happening to me now, my body offering me one last comfort before it gives up on me completely. My lashes flutter closed and as ice flakes appear on them, my last thought is that Alpha Kael was wrong. My wolf is either very broken or she doesn’t give a damn about my death.

She’d left as quickly and quietly as she’d arrived. Pausing only briefly to ponder on the mysteries of Maggie, she settled herself back onto the sofa to further investigate the treasured book before her. She found connotations for invoking both good and evil spirits, as well as one to raise the dead. This surprised her. Why would Maggie’s ancestors want to conjure and evil spirit or raise the dead?

A soft quiet moan left my lips as I woke up tangled in Death's soft silk sheets. Death comes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist and water droplets glistening off his hair and abs. He has a fricken 8 pack! "Yes, I do," he replies smugly after hearing my thoughts "You also like cuddling," I turn my back to him "I didn't know you would climb into my bed in the middle of the night," he replies nonchalantly

Not yet. I turned onto my side, eyes landing on my nightstand. The book I’d finished last two weeks still sat there—Haunting Adeline. It had been a ride, to say the least. Dark, twisted, and completely unhinged. I grabbed the book and traced the cover absentmindedly, my mind still spinning from the way it had ended. And Zade? God. That man was insane, but in the best way. I couldn't even count how many times I had to pause and process the things he said.

I looked down to see my own blood, pooling over the open pages of the book given to me by the sprites, a blade with black diamonds on the hilt and a large deep red ruby sitting inside a metal frame at the base of the handle, protruded from my stomach. Gasping I could feel my life fade away, I took one last look to see that Joshua had been ran through, his lifeless body laid crumpled on the cold bloody ground. I could hardly recognize the scream of terror that escaped my lips before I felt my life leave my body. Draven.

“Please recommend which one you think is the best.” Darien looked carefully though his back before pulling one out. The cover depicted a city landscape and a man’s silhouette overshadowing a skyscraper. “I think you would like this one. It starts out bleak, then it carries on to a happy ending.” Zach accepted the book and opened it up with anticipation. He might as well read something decent knowing it was the last good thing he was going to read before confronting his email inbox the next day. He lost himself in the story in the first ten pages and didn’t look up until he felt something heavy hit his shoulder when he was midway through the book.

It hurt watching all these familiar young faces as they lost their lives, killing each other. But then Drakes decided to make it worse, as he made his dark mist continue to affect the dead ones, making them rise again, as reanimated corpses to kill the ones still alive. I felt as if I was now stuck in some zombie apocalypse or horror movie. Watching dead people rise again. How was this even possible? But I then looked in shock to see that there was another person not affected by Drakes's dark mist.

So as the wolves were swiveled around and flung away because their bodies were still linked through their tails and then Kambiri and Kamdiri were shown to be the ones behind the extraordinary work. And so as the other psyraid flies to the dead Chike as it falls on his chest and gleams so bright and whitened making Stella step a little bit far from him as the psyraid gleamed so bright and whitely to the extend that Chike can no longer be seen inside it as everyone started staring at it After some seconds the gleaming went off and made a hard sound which made Chike to rise from death as he rises up with force, sitting down on the ground as the psyraid fell from his chest and settled on the gro

He said to himself, slowly, “This book... is said to contain the eternity. No living on... can ever replace its essence...” “So foolish,” I commented abruptly, and the curves in his lips only widened. “That's! How can he smile while holding the book? Is it really contain the eternity?!” Alarkin... is just a foolish. So how can he be the very figure of that night? The next moment I wake up, the news of losing the class already reach the institution. “I'm dead?!” I almost couldn't believe how this world really revolve. “It's been a month,” the veil-woman inform, “so authority of this place thought you, together with your group, is dead!”
