He pulled the trigger, digging the cold metal at my temple. I shut my eyes accepting the situation. Accepting death. “I'm sorry dad… Owen. It's my fault, I should've listened,” I whispered, the peace from death consuming me.

It was happening in front of him, in this realm, as he watched me die again. “If only you had reacted sooner,” Death said to him. “Why do you like torturing me so much?” Kiran asked him. “Torture? This is us bonding,” Death replied. “I never thought you’d figure out how to gain entry into my realm. I’m quite impressed by you, Kiran.” Death knelt down next to me, and whispered in my ear. “Wake up, Kai.” I opened my eyes, and stood up slowly. The bullet fell from the hole in my forehead and the wound closed. “Dad!” I hugged him tightly. “You’re okay!”

“Do it then. You already poisoned me, so killing me wouldn’t make a difference.” A blush covers her cheeks, but it's not out of embarrassment—it's anger or rage. Why the f-ck is she angry? I’m the one who’s supposed to be boiling.
