My grip tightens despite the agony, refusing to let him land the fatal blow.
He grunts in frustration, yanking the knife free with a violent tug. The force sends me stumbling, my grip on him loosening. Before I can recover, he kicks me hard in the chest, and I’m sent flying off the edge of the building.
