The dragon banked sharply through the air. Cold wind rushed against Maya's cheeks, carrying with it the smell of burning wood and smoke. Below her, Stormfang no longer resembled the kingdom she had entered only days ago. Ancient trees rose between streets. Massive vines wrapped around broken towers. The living dome she had summoned stretched over nearly the entire capital. Roots intertwined so tightly that dragon fire could no longer penetrate it. Only one opening remained. A circular gap high above the city. Just large enough… For Maya and the young black dragon to fly through.

Looking out the window they saw a 200meter towering giant snake beast standing tall. It has scales and spikes from his head down to its barbed tail holding unto a flaming rope. His eyes had a murderous glint in them and I watched his spiked tail. The dragon was gray, like mine and I almost felt sorry for the illusion. I ran straight toward him and he moved his body sideways as his tail swept across the ground and lifted at the last second to strike me full in the chest. I was on his tail and ran up towards his back as his tail swished around and he turned his head to get a look at me.
