The carriage was a box of nightmares. Angel couldn't breathe. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw Luciano’s face, then blood, then Elijah’s cold smile. Her hands flew to her head, fingers digging into her scalp. "No, no, no," she whispered, rocking back and forth.
