"Are you the only one home?" “Oh no," she whispered, calmly shaking her head. “Master David is also home. He's in his study." The minute I heard her, dirty images flooded my thoughts. A smile instantly creeped onto my face. “You know what,” I mumbled. "I just remembered I forgot something in my purse." She glanced at me with warm eyes. "I'll be right back Tess.” I gave her a kind smile, before dashing out the door. I headed straight for the study. There were two of them, but I knew David's had to be on the second floor, and that's where I headed. I had gotten myself acquainted with every single room in the house. Rain showed me the various hidden spots that were perfect for reckless sex.

"Who do you think you are? What gives you the right to order Ximena around?" Silvia let out a mocking laugh. "Idiot. You're about to die, and you still don't get it. You think the boss of this dungeon is Ximena? "The real danger is the hidden boss, Derrick." Derrick Walker narrowed his ghostly eyes and spoke in a chilling tone. "Ximena, tell him who I am." Ximena did not dare speak. She simply pulled free from my hand and walked toward him. Suddenly, her voice echoed inside my mind.

The rune pulsed once— and then dissolved into black dust. I stumbled back, stomach sinking. “What does that mean?” I whispered. Silas rose slowly, eyes burning with cold fury. “It means the enemy wasn’t just sending a message.” A beat. “They were marking territory.” Riven snarled. “And they think she belongs to them.” Kyren stepped in front of me, wings flaring wide. “Over my dead body.” Ashen’s shadows rose in a storm. “Over ours.” Silas met my eyes. “The Chapter ends with truth, Elara.”
