In the forest, canuses are the most common monsters next to the boar-like monster called scrofa. “Retreat!” A man with blazing red hair with streaks of gray came running in front of the horde. “These monsters were running from an Ursus!”

Spun. The Monster followed, unthinking, crossing the boundary. Both of us are inside. “NOW!” I screamed. From opposite sides, Kael and Thea burst from cover. Hands slammed onto their designated runes. Power flared. All twelve runes ignited at once. Silver-white pillars shot skyward, weaving into bars of pure energy.
