Chapter Thirty-one “Pestilence?” Eliza echoes. “I…I don’t understand.” “Like the Horseman?” Abby asks, voice shaking. “Yes.” “Wait a minute.” Abby is terrified and trying to hold it together. “One of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse has poisoned my sister?” “Not the horseman directly, but a demon with connections who wants to bring them forth from Hell.” Lucas turns back to me. “The demon said something to you…that you might be strong enough?”

As went on, hell began to plague the human world with demons of all kinds. Heaven's solution to this was provided with powers known as blessings. Blessings came in two forms; strengthening the human body and giving them unique abilities. Although, not every human possessed these blessings. As each day passed, the demons planned their ultimate goal.... to kill a god!

Some cracks appeared in the void due to his slash. A moment later, this seemingly powerful army, which was made up of tens of thousands of soldiers, had been defeated by Apophis. Jim spewed out a large mouthful of blood inside the Ragnarok Formation. Dillon and the others that were nearby were ghastly pale as well. Along with Apophis’s assault, which defeated the thousands of troops that evolved from the formation, many Demigods vomited blood and died on the spot. They were unable to withstand the horrific strength of Apophis.

"Honestly, just as you were sleeping, the Demon race attacked us, sparking a massive war across the continent. You're already dead, and I'm dead as well. The demons utilized a ceremony to resurrect and control us.

Tiya gave a final jerk before she disintegrated into ashes. "No!" Nadia exclaimed in horror. Blood gushed down Beelzebub’s neck and down to his tunic staining it an inky black. He kept a hand on the wound and glared at them balefully. "You little brats," he remarked. "You really think you can take me on? I am a Horseman of the Apocalypse. I am Pestilence."

A massive meteorite had fallen on Earth and was now sitting on the peak of a mountain, transmitting its destructive radiation down through the roots of the trees and contaminating all nearby water sources on Earth. The apocalypse had happened because of this meteorite. Octoria, one of the major countries, had launched missiles at it, intending to shatter the meteorite before it entered the Earth's stratosphere. He created a portal to the Lucifer building and both him and the rest entered. They got there and met other demons waiting for them as they were very many.
