In an instant, they gathered into a large river and sea.

The throne room. He inhaled a breath of surprise to find it full of demons, every one of them turning towards his portal and glaring through it. “Here we go…” Ruben said. Kat pursed her lips. “Guns blazing, Ruben…” “Got it.” He lifted his hand and send a blast of solid air through the portal before stepping through it and closing it. All the demons in the front were blasted back into the ones behind, making them all stagger and fall and be pushed aside like a bulldozer was clearing the way.

Silence enveloped them as they crossed the academy grounds. The core pulsed steadily in Kael's pocket, unaffected by the previous day's suppression attempt. Dungeon Gate 3 was located at the western edge of the grounds, close to the old quarry. It was smaller than Gate 1. The design is for regulated activities instead of extensive reconnaissance, and the hum from the gate felt sharper and more contained. I summon thee to the mortal realm. Kneel before–” The sound of thunder cracking cut me short before I could complete my words. The ground began to rumble and the circle I had engraved on the ground expanded outwards as dark smoke clouded the entire place.
