“Artemida nikogda by ne prinyala eto. [Artemis would never accept this.]” Artemida mertva. Koroleva yego imperii zhelayet zanyat' svoye zakonnoye mesto. [Artemis is dead. The queen of his empire desires to take her place.]” Ivan and Dmitri converse in Russian. Ivan is probably pissed that Dmitri has brought me here because there is no place here for a woman such as myself. The underworld is a male world. And even though my father had a daughter and not a son, that makes me his heir.

His muscles flexed under his tight shirt and his jaw tightened. "Do you really believe that the only reason I keep you here is because of your parents? I am Damion Night I don't do anything for anyone unless it benefits me and my family. Think about that the next time you want to kill one of my guards and try and run away." With that he turned his back on me and stalked out of the basement.

“The King sent us all down here upon the arrival of his Mother, my Queen.” My fingers move to my throat as a gasp leaves my lips. The title of Queen not registering in my mind after the knowledge that Eve is here was said. The Demon straightens up from his bow, eyes watching me intently. What is he waiting for? I must have murmured my thoughts out loud because all eleven Demons looked at each other before turning back to me. The same Demon that notified me about Eve’s presence opens his mouth to speak once more. “We are awaiting our order, my Queen.” All eleven heads bob as they bow to me as one.

“This marks the sixth death in two months. The Council has yet to identify the group calling themselves the ‘Rogue Cell,’ led by the mysterious ‘Monster Queen.’ Fear is gripping the Alpha Elite as the killer continues to bypass the most advanced security systems in Nocturna…” I scoffed and muted the screen. "The Monster Queen. What a ridiculous name." "She’s efficient, Kaelen," Silas reminded me. "No DNA. No footprints. Just bodies." The elevator opened to the penthouse of Lord Aaron, a man who had spent his life hoarding riches and looking down on the weak. Now, he was slumped over his desk, his eyes wide with a terror that had frozen on his face. The room was covered in blood. Whoever did

He was reading the demon history book. The Lycan King took a deep breath. This was bigger than they expected. "This is the ancient book of demon rituals and history. It says here that the only way to resurrect the death angel is to shower his tomb with the blood of four Queens. The Lycan Queen, The Vampire Queen, The Dragon Queen, and lastly my Demon Queen. Which I haven't fucking found yet up to now! Motherfucker!" Lucifer slammed his palm in his mahogany desk. The wood cracked. On the verge of splitting in half, he snatched his laptop in time.

Rex replied, confusion written over his face. “Oh, I think you know her,” the queen said, focusing her four blood-red irises on Rex, “After all, you killed her.” After swallowing, Rex looked back at the queen, who seemed to look like she was searching his face for something, “I am sorry, but what was her name?” “Her name was Balrog, queen of the surface dwellers.”

the youngest asked. Silence. Then, softly: “They call her the Ash Queen. But I heard another name — one that came in a dream. Not from her, but from something that knew her.” No one asked for that name. We’ve been preparing for this war with the angels for many centuries, but the utter destruction and chaos it will bring will be…devastating, to say the least. I’d be a fool to not be scared, although I’ve been preparing for this my whole life. When I think back to my own history lessons, the first of my bloodline that Hades created to lead the demons to freedom was a female, the only born Queen other than myself the Underworld has ever known. Queen Arabella, the only demon ever recorded in history to have the gift of hellfire. Hellfire is a fire that will cause absolute destruction to everything around it except the one wielding it.

Commanding without force. Kiana. The name settles deeper this time. I repeat it silently. Once. Then again. Kiana. So this is who she is. Not just a girl moving through ashes. Not just a quiet force among the broken. Something more. Something that demands recognition, whether I want it or not. I lean back into the shadows, expression unreadable, thoughts sharp once more. The moment whatever it was shatters completely. Clarity returns. Cold. Precise. Controlled. Princess. Of Ethra.

"No you didn't. We were only fighting for what's right, Rose. And he tried to kill everyone because of his greed. Please, don't be guilty of no crime. You committed no crime. Please don't blame yourself." "But it doesn't change the fact that I am a monster. You heard what those women said to me, right? I am the Queen of the underworld. An evil demon; I am a very dangerous demon." She said, then sniffed. "I am an evil demon, I might kill everybody and you, and perry, and..." It was already getting out of control. She was shivering and crying badly now "No, you are not an evil demon. You are Roseline, and not a monster. You are the nice college girl whom everyone loves. You are the college gir
