I sit back in my seat and open my legs widely and take a deep breath emitting boredom. “I’m a demon.”

The security guards at the entrance all raised their stun batons. "It's a demon! Electric shock probably won't work!" "Quick! Lock down the perimeter! Evacuate the area!" A demon? I looked up, and sure enough, there was Raven, striding in step by step. He still wore the black hoodie I had bought him. The hood covered most of his face, and his entire body radiated killing intent. With each step forward, the lobby grew more scorching. "Where's Chloe Sutton? Where are you keeping her?"

The demon descends back to his pit, and the circles slowly close until there is no trace it was ever there. The pain is gone, and everything around me resumes. The fighting never stopped, but it felt like it did for me when I cast the spell. My eyes lock on Raphael. The scarred man grips his neck, holding him down. I raise my hand and summon the ravens—all of them. Every bird in the room answers, crashing into the man in a storm of wings. His body disappears into the black mass, swallowed whole. When the swarm breaks apart, what remains of him crumples lifeless to the floor.

her father laughed, “she’s not going to listen to reason. She’s stubborn like that. Just like Grace used to be.” A nostalgic look comes into his eyes, and he looks away from us, lost in thought. Damien just nods, and I walk out, cradling Raven tightly to my chest. “They’re coming,” Raven suddenly says out of the blue, before I can put her in the car. I pause, looking at her quizzically. Maybe she was still out of it and confused. I decide to humour her. “Who’s coming?” “The hunters Hades. They’re coming for us, and we need to be prepared to survive," she said with absolute certainty.

"Well the demon that the world is associated with usually compromises of the devil and his forces but the demon in this context, is you.. you kind I mean" Raven explained sending glances at Ace who has been silent the whole time. When Ace finally spoke, his words heightened the fear of our situation "So when are the others going to wage a war against us?" . A War.

She was holding her phone like it was a live wire. “Lana! Have you seen this? It’s all over the business and clan feeds. News from the Black Raven pack!” She thrust the phone at me. On the screen was a series of photos. Damon, dressed in formal, imposing Black Raven ceremonial robes trimmed with onyx, stood at the center of a grand hall. He wasn’t smiling. He looked severe, powerful, utterly in command, surrounded by rapt-looking elders and warriors. The caption called him a “long-absent dignitary” and speculated on the “significance of his sudden return.”

The lady was surprised and confused when he suddenly cut her off. "Y-Yes? I think she placed it on her vanity area." He felt like he was being poured with a glass of cold water when his speculation was confirmed. Hyde remembered it when he went to the victim's vanity table. He remembered what it looked like. A bird darker than a crow, and usually eats flesh from dead animals. A bird that means DEATH... A CARRION CROW.

The creature fell, and it was like acid that had just dissolved after a creature’s tail had pierced it. It startled and angrily looked at the hunters. “Damn, why do you look at us like that?” Damon asked. “You killed your mate, and we didn’t.” The demon rushed quickly and was more alert than before. Damon is its target, as it quickly avoids Damon’s arrows. Raven quickly followed and waved the Katana, but the demon quickly left and Damon was the one she had to hit. Hugo quickly appeared next to Damon and the two of them teleported, but the demon took advantage of that and quickly approached Raven, then stabbed Raven in the back with its tail.
