It was nothing less than a thousand leaves, with a seal the shape of a dragon - The same one tattooed on Master Klaus and his men too - She tried to open it, but there was a seal glueing the back of the book to the front, so it made her unable to open it. It sucked, because she didn’t know why the book gnawed at her curiosity. It looked like it was kind of old, despite being new and if it belonged to the owner of this mansion, then she wouldn’t mind knowing the contents of what was written in that book.

The other three demons were crouched, and growling like rabid dogs, their saucerlike eyes glowing with a manic light. One of them let out a loud howl like a wolf and pounced towards Cassie. She screamed and there was a sudden hot burst of light as the sword in her hand blazed up. Cassie leaped forward, sweeping her weapon at the demon, her skirt billowing behind her. I bent over the dead soldier, my heart heavy as I realized that the same tattoo adorned his neck as well. he design was unlike anything I had seen before, yet there was an unsettling familiarity about it, a memory tugging at the edges of my mind. The tattoo depicted a flying demon, its wings outstretched, eyes aglow with an otherworldly luminescence. The level of detail was astonishing, every line and curve capturing the essence of the creature in a way that was both mesmerizing and disconcerting. The artistry was undeniable, but there was an underlying malevolence that sent shivers down my spine.

Not entirely.” I blinked, caught off guard. “What?” He pushed off the table, walking to a bookshelf in the corner crammed with art books, sketchpads, and a few dusty tomes that looked older than the school. He pulled one out—a thick, leather-bound volume with faded gold lettering: “Mythos and Metaphor: Ancient Lore in Modern Art.” He flipped through it, landing on a page with illustrations of snarling wolves under full moons, runes etched around the borders.

" I took out the book at one and it levitated itself and its pages flipped at such speed to an unknown page. The next act raised tension, my palm getting colder and sweaty. The pages slowly began to fill its empty sheets, drawings and writings, a few in English and the rest in sigils and signs. The first drawing I saw, was a three headed beast, it looked like a hound, or a dog. Drawn as a black and white art, shades of the body noticeably seen, bringing out details, the saliva dripping from its flappy mouth. I looked underneath the drawing and I saw a tag. "Cerberus, Hireling Of Hades." "Did that book just flip?" Asked Maria. Concern drawn over her face as she slowly walked closer and peeped

Douglass accepted the challenge and looked back at Amethyst who had acted on an impulse and snatched the book from his hands. "There were two books — the book of Spells and the book of Prophecies. Why only this one?" Turning every page of the book, Amethyst investigated, narrowing her eyes at Douglass who never said anything else. Amethyst swiftly stopped turning the pages and stopped on one page that had her name written boldly at the top. Her eyes widened with unspeakable fear that attracted the attention of both Liam and Douglass. "M-my b…blood is needed for the…rebirth of the demon…?" She gasped and the book elegantly fell from her hands.
