Rhea’s POV In the night, I kept tossing around in the bed and couldn’t bring myself to sleep. Whenever I closed my eyes, the moments when the demon sucked off Claire’s life force played in mind like a scene from a horror movie. I didn’t feel this scared even when I was attacked by the demons. But seeing my friend almost die in front of me shook me up.

"I don't need to use baits. I bring them so they could witness my greatness. Besides, it would be boring if I only have one witness. The claps are louder with more audience." I blinked. Oh. Oh... Oh! It was tempting just to close her eyes and see if sleep would come, but she took a few minutes to go over Elliott’s recording from the attack to see if the Vampire’s reaction was as odd as she thought it had been, considering how quickly her own troops were able to get into the fortress.

Third Person POV It has been a few hours since they crashed the wedding, and now there is a war. Most of the demons have run out, protecting their heads, while the warriors, including Silver and Octavia, are battling the monsters, and it has not been easy killing them as they are very strong. Asher is standing clueless, watching everything unfold. He does not know what is going on; he is just waiting for his master’s command.

“Serves him right.” I blinked. “You’re… enjoying this?” “My dear,” she said proudly, “watching Slade lose control is my favorite hobby.” Wonderful. This family was a sitcom with violence. Liana practically skipped toward the living room. “Come on.
