Victory was shouted out by the demons as if they’d already won the battle. Roman and I looked at each other, taking one moment just for us, before we gave ourselves over to our wolves. Our bodies jumped up, Creed and Storm shifting mid-air. The fire licked their fur. The demons paused, clearly not expecting to see two wolves with access to the fire. But this was what the Goddess created it for. Once the smoke cleared, a large figure stepped forward. He looked like he was carved from a slab of obsidian. The large crown atop his head was a dead giveaway.

The handsome demon was surprised by the presence of the large black stone beside Hirayasura. "Brother Asura, do you recognize this stone? You must have missed it a lot, right?" "Do you want to go back inside this black stone?" Hirayasura insinuated Asura. "Sorry, but I'm not interested in vacationing inside that stone for another hundred years." Asura summoned Toya Agni. Arya Santanu wore a fire demon weapon and fire demon armor. His feet were also wearing fire demon shoes. He prepared to fight alongside Asura.

“You all made a mistake coming here.” As the figure emerged from the shadows, its presence seemed to command the attention of everyone around. With each deliberate step, the air around him appeared to vibrate with an otherworldly energy, like the quiet hum of a powerful engine. His long, dark hair fell around his pale, chiseled face like a curtain of night, framing his sharp jawline and angular features.

Now he was fighting not to pin Victoria down and bury his fangs into her soft neck. Focus. "Keep going," he commanded huskily. "It said berserkers were the power house of the demons, like the strongest physically. Death demons are the oldest race," she paused, "I don't think you're a death demon though." She knows. "Why not?" "Well, it said they're very rare. And that they can only be killed by another death demon."

Jo paused, waiting to see if Eliza would say more, but she didn’t, so she took a deep breath and continued. “When the Vampire used that name, Asteria, I got chills. I realized then that it did make sense that it could be her, that it almost had to be. The other was Daunator, and he exploded, so I don’t think he could be back.”

Dillon gently pulled the pendant out from under his shirt and admired it.

After saying that, the Devouring Ape took out its weapon, a huge saber. The saber was blood red with many lines engraved on it, which looked like some exotic beast. “This saber is called the Immortal Slayer, and anyone who dies under this blade, whether human or exotic beast, will have their soul imprisoned in this saber forever. The patterns on this saber are the exotic beasts that fell under this blade.” Holding the Immortal Slayer in his hand, the Devouring Ape's aura suddenly changed. It was just pressure before but was replaced by a shocking killing intent now.

I explained. “Mate? Servants? Camps? What the hell happened in the last month? None of this sounds like you!” He said angrily. “Deep breath. Ready?” I asked, more to myself than to him. “Go ahead.” Denny answered curtly. “I’m a concubus, Dennis. So was Indie. The reason Drayce…. I mean Patrick, took me is that he works with a male concubus called a Vasili. He’s a king of the desire demons, incubi, succubae, and concubi.”

As Zayla’s mom swooped down toward the ground, her magnificent wings unfurled like dark sails. With a fierce motion, she snatched another demon from the air, her long, sharp black talons slicing through the thick air. In a ruthless twist, she tore its head clean off and ignited the remains in a furious blaze. After the remnants burned away into nothingness, she pursued more foes, leaving a trail of much-needed destruction in her wake.
