He didn't know Meridith as a book lover. "What book is that?" Damon asked Donna, who jumped at the book immediately. "It's a grimoire, My King," Donna held the book to her chest and shivered. "A grimoire?" Damon asked. He has heard stories about the book. A grimoire, known as a "book of spells" or a "spellbook," is a textbook of magic, typically including instructions on how to create magical objects like talismans and amulets, how to perform magical spells, charms and divination, and how to summon or invoke supernatural entities such as angels, spirits, deities, and demons. In many cases, the books themselves are believed to be imbued with magical powers.

Douglass accepted the challenge and looked back at Amethyst who had acted on an impulse and snatched the book from his hands. "There were two books — the book of Spells and the book of Prophecies. Why only this one?" Turning every page of the book, Amethyst investigated, narrowing her eyes at Douglass who never said anything else. Amethyst swiftly stopped turning the pages and stopped on one page that had her name written boldly at the top. Her eyes widened with unspeakable fear that attracted the attention of both Liam and Douglass. "M-my b…blood is needed for the…rebirth of the demon…?" She gasped and the book elegantly fell from her hands.

I closed my eyes and opened my arms wide. "I summon Samael, the demon for the power of the fire of hell. I summon Azazel, the demon for the power of the air of hell. I summon Azael, the demon for the power of the water of hell. I summon Mahazael, the demon for the power of the hard rocky ground of hell. I summon Satan, the demon of hell who's wrath is well known. I summon you all for the sake of the king of hell. I summon you for the sake of Lucifer. I summon you five demons of hell with the greatest powers." My eyes were glowing with my powers and I recited the spell. The look on the faces of fake demons was something worth watching. They were all terrified of what was going to happen.

I had to move fast. I turned through the pages of the spell book with shaky hands until I finally settled on what I was searching for. “Thrakos, Demon of the Underworld, Lord of Hell,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the forbidden verse. “He who commands the forbidden flames of the devil's domain,” my voice grew louder, desperation etched in my eyes, "I call thee, Thrakos. I summon thee to the mortal realm. Kneel before–” The sound of thunder cracking cut me short before I could complete my words. The ground began to rumble and the circle I had engraved on the ground expanded outwards as dark smoke clouded the entire place.

Wonder if I have any powers? *Ember* I run my hand over the books in my workroom searching for a specific one. "Ah ha." I grab a book with a dark crimson cover and gold lettering from the shelf. "Demons and Hell" is written across the cover. I grab some paper, my feather and my ink before I sit down on a chair. I open the book and start reading. "There are three classes of demons known to humankind. The classes are as follows: the lowest level are the Vermin Class followed by the Common Class and lastly are the Royalty Class.

And the only question on my mind was: “What the hell just happened?” N.B: This is book 5 of The Dark Council Series. The first book is called The Vampire's Bride and the second is called The Incubus's Secretary. Both these books have been published and are available on A****n. That was the opening I’d been waiting for. “How do you wake a three-millennium old demon?” “Who are we talking about here?” He asked with a frown. “Who do you think?” “Draven.” He clenched his jaw tightly. “I’ll need Samuel for this.” “Then we’ll get Samuel.” “I don’t know, Benjamin. I haven’t heard from him since he up and left with the entire poison.”

"A what!?" "Isn't that black magic?" "Not necessarily." "What are you summoning?" Axil asked. "It's a trickster demon. I've read in a book once that they have the ability to take the form of whomever they've been in contact with, apparently tricking kids into going down to hell with them." "Umm that's not worrying at all." Liza trailed off. "Don't worry. Once I've summoned it, I have a way of controlling it." "Isn't it dangerous?" Axil asked.
