Screams pierced the silence, agonized, endless wails of pain that didn’t seem werewolf. Grotesque creatures moved through the haze, towering demons with distorted faces and rotting skin, draped in tattered black garments that flapped like funeral banners. Their eyes glowed red with hunger. Panic coiled in my chest. “Where… where am I?” I choked out, my voice trembling. “You’re in the demon’s realm,” came Zevarion’s voice, soft but steady through the mindlink. “Zev?” I turned, searching wildly for him. “Are you here?”

ONLY...FOR FIVE...SECONDS!!” I yell, hearing the quartz finally shatter and hundreds of demons are now see beginning to charge towards us!

The demon bellowed as fire and blood erupted from its chest. A final pulse of magic blasted outward—then the creature’s form crumbled into ash. The swamp fell silent again, save for the hiss of rain extinguishing flames. As the rebels gathered, nursing wounds and counting the dead, Silas stood trembling. “That wasn’t the only one,” he whispered. Rio turned sharply. “What do you mean?” Silas’s eyes were wide with fear. “The spell Vera cast… it wasn’t just one binding. It’s a gate. And it’s opening.”

The tunnel wasn't meant for breathers, it had once sealed in the corrupted and the lost, but I knew it would lead me where I needed to go. I stood as the roots peeled away, making space for me. But before I could descend, a sound snapped my head up. Hooves. Not paws. Not claws. Hooves of flame and smoke, pounding toward the den like thunder. Then a roar, not wolf. Not even warg. A demon. "No..." My voice cracked. The Blackwolves surged forward, no longer snarling but chanting, as if his presence had tethered them to order. Or madness.

She was curious to learn more about how this Demon's mind worked and how he felt about things. The young Demon did not think momentarily; he answered immediately, " I would keep the name Demon. I would add the name Matteo Nightwhisper. My name would be Demon Matteo Nightwhisper." He grinned at her and explained, "Demon because it was the name given to me by the pack, Matteo, because of the irony- I am being given a gift from a goddess and Nightwhisper to honor my new pack."

“No please stop!” I screamed towards Demonica. I am so scared seeing how Demonica is using her black whip that she created from her mist as she slash it into Queen Veronica’s bare back now full of whip wounds as Demonica sat on the king’s throne beside me. She did it anyway, and found out that there was another witch that was behind the virus. The other witch was purposely peeing on dead mortals and resurrecting them without blood to be her army.

Energy whips through me, crackling over my skin and churning my blood as I chant silently into the night. “What…?” Amos gasps. His hands loosen around my neck. Greedily sucking in the heavy night air, I take the opportunity to speak the incantation aloud. The syllables slide out in a coarse whisper, echoing across the water in terse ripples. “​​From light to shadow, from stone to bone, I send you back to the void you’ve known. By earth, by sky, by sea, I proclaim, Be gone, demon, in darkness remain.”
