You Don't Own Me, Mr Billionaire

You Don't Own Me, Mr Billionaire

Evie coughs into her hand, trying not to laugh. "Good girl," Papa says proudly. "I'll let you go. Have fun shopping." "Will do." I hang up, slide the card back into my purse, and sling the dress bag over my shoulder. I flash a venomous smile. "He's going to be blown away. I just know it." Evie's grin mirrors mine. "You're evil." "I prefer unpredictable." She links her arm with mine as we head for the door. "Whatever you are, I cannot wait to see Isaac's face when he lays eyes on that dress."

Promises Forgotten

Promises Forgotten

“He’s nineteen. He can hold onto his Superman underwear and wear his big boy pants. It’s his second year in college. If he’s not black out drunk all day, he’s doing it wrong.” More laughter and the door opened to the bathroom. My jaw dropped as Evie walked out in a sun dress. It flared out from her waist and fit her figure perfectly. She was pulling her hair back into a ponytail. Her eyes found mine as my brows furrowed. “What? Something wrong?” “You’re perfect.” I stepped forward and stole a kiss. “How are you supposed to hike in this?” Smiling, she pulled the dress up. “Look! Shorts! Plus! My combat boots!”

I would have really loved to know if Adrian would change but I guess not! Appears that all he wanted was his fathers approval and acceptance and the heck with the rest. Good book and there was a lot of angst!

I really loved this book—the characters, their development, and the supportive circle of friends and family. If you’re tired of clichéd CEO books where the main conflict revolves around a bitchy ex and annoying misunderstandings, and you’re looking for something meaningful, this is your book!

COLOURS OF THE DEVIL

COLOURS OF THE DEVIL

I pulled on a baseball cap. “Deal.” I asked Maxwell to cover for me, and he said he'll notify them I had a tutoring class to catch up with my studies since I was out for two weeks. Evie's driver drove us to the mall. I did not know that one person could own so many pairs of shoes. “Pebbles, take it," she suggested as she handed me white Nike sneakers. “Evie, I can't accept this. It's too much.” She still argued, but I maintained my answer.

This book is just WOW! The emotions were well received. I literally had tears & snot rolling down my face. When Ace, the tattooed badboy came along, I fell in love. Then I got furious again when The Devil always tried to intervene. Poor Pebbles (love the name), I enjoyed seeing her grow. Good job.

He Chose Her While I was Dying

He Chose Her While I was Dying

Joe even put together statements from witnesses, and they reminded Evan of a memory from long ago when he saw a pair of white, princess shoes stepping in the mud, and a little voice rang out loud in the air, "Stop bullying him." Evan turned pale at the memory of those shoes, and a hard expression appeared on his face. He drove straight toward the house we were supposed to live in after getting married, and he ransacked the storeroom for a long time before finally finding that pair of white, princess shoes. It was a gift from my father for my seventh birthday. I had shown the shoes once to Evan when we were at a better time in our relationship, and the sight of them melted the coldness in his

CLAIRE. Evie had been nothing but mean ever since she got back. She'd come into my room and showed off the clothes, shoes and bags she got while in college. She had new friends too and kept on making video calls with a variety of them. They spoke in slang I didn't understand that was probably based on the happenings in her college. They seemed to have had lots of events because Evie owned T-shirts and sweatshirts from one college event or the other.
