Vaelorra walked to the room down the basement and I trailed silently behind her. She walked to the far shelf where old tomes and sealed scrolls rested, her fingers trailing along their spines as though they were old friends while I stood by the huge desk, supporting my tired weight with my palms on it. “An Unspun descendant,” she said at last, “is one from the tribe of those whose fates were never woven or accessed by the First Weavers.” I stared at her, my disbelief sharp and unhidden.

I handed the glass to her and told her to drink. “I’m excited for Romeo to be my mate tonight! I really do hope we get to fulfill the prophecy between the black onyx wolf and the ruby witch.” I continued my monologue, chattering excitedly as I walked back to the mirror. Unbeknownst to Romeo, I am the descendant of the ruby witch as foretold by the prophecy and the legend has been passed from generation to generation. So far, none of my ancestors have managed to fulfill the prophecy and the stone has been missing for years, leading to the discontinuation of the royal family.

I held up a hand to stop her further denial. "That's not all." They fell quiet. "I believe I found the spell that that witch had stolen from us. I can almost assume the someone, most likely one of her descendants, has finally become as powerful or more powerful than Avadale." I said quietly. "Not after all these generations. They've been weak for forever!" The brown haired woman spoke up again, in raged. I walked passed them, sitting the book down on the wooden poduim ontop of the book that already rested there.

"Well, if you mean the wand's creator being the first luna of our pack, mate of the great alpha Erebus, I already know." Edmund waved his hand lazily, "You-you! You know?!" Hank exclaimed, blinking in shock. "Alpha Erebus allowed her to leave with the wand, so I'm not here to take it back." Edmund let out a short laugh, "If that's what you are worried about."

The pain of her absence gnawed at his soul, a constant reminder of the consequences of his actions. But amidst the despair, a flicker of determination ignited within Eric.
