Romans & histoires Detective Pimento

The detective continued. “I know what happened to me. Someone tried to kill me, and I’m here with proof.” Detective Harrison’s eyes widened. “It seems you’ve brought us something important.” Kiara nodded, handing him her phone with the recording of Gerald’s confession. “This is proof of Luca’s involvement. He’s the one who orchestrated the poisoning at the restaurant. I also have a witness who can confirm it.” Harrison’s expression hardened as he played the recording. Gerald’s panicked voice filled the room, detailing the events and implicating Luca. The detective’s lips thinned into a grim line.

She was a complication I hadn’t planned for, and in my world, complications were dangerous. I needed to refocus, to remind myself why we were here. Nonno was a shrewd man, always testing, always looking for signs of weakness. Last night’s dinner had been a test, and while Cleo had played her part perfectly, I knew he wasn’t convinced. Nonno could sense things that others couldn’t, he saw the cracks even when we tried our best to hide them.

"I am ready and I should have told you last week. I trust you." "Then you don't need to tell me, because I already know. My cousin Derrick is a cop. I called him that first night. I had him tip off the detectives unit, without mentioning your name. They looked into it and Jim Pierson, the guy you know as Big Jim, is no longer on the street. Funny thing is I played college ball with him. He was just as big a scumbag back then as he is now and didn't last past his first year. But he did visit my house once and he did have an eye for those balls. Do you feel better now?"

“I don’t think it’s necessary for you to waste your time with something silly like this, but if I remember something, I’ll call, thank you and good afternoon.” Having another cup of coffee from BT Cake, a diner downtown Portland, Peter and I talked while the waitress serves our table. “I thought it was really weird that the suspect wasted his time smoking two cigarettes in the house and didn’t take absolutely anything, what do you think, Peter?” “I agree with you, and I also think that miss Thompson is the most delicious and scary thing that rocked your wall, my friend! That’s the only thing that can explain that ridiculous scene with you mouth wide open, fucking with your eyes the poor thin

Primo noticed them standing by the huge tree and kept on stealing glances in their directions. He could guess a thing or two about who they were. First guess, they were stalkers who had nothing to do with their lives. Secondly, they were detectives. How so? Well, Primo caught them talking with some policemen on the third day of the wake as if they were exchanging information. They were also closely looking out at the funeral homes.

Tuesday, the 3rd of May. 11:06am. The detective office was a lot busier than it had been in the last couple of days and the busiest people were detectives Aiden and Tia. They had been to the Coroner, William Martin, on several occasions, joining him in studying the body of Pamela Neil. Seeing and touching a dead body was not so much of a task for Tia but Aiden did not exactly like it, and to make it worse, her body was three weeks old. Aiden could not stand it so he stood afar off, holding in his hands a note pad and and a pen, jotting down the things that Tia and William discovered while studying the body.

I announced to my companions. “Mr. Samael Salcedo?” the delivery guy asked one CSD student with a golden brooch sitting a few tables away from us. “Ah, my cousin is an AMU student. He’s sitting over there.” He jerked his thumb in our direction and I gestured my hand towards the Major. “What’s going on, Detective? Why is the pizza guy looking for me?” he asked. “Just go with the flow,” I answered and received the seven boxes of pizza.

He had never thought he was good at puzzles either, but he had proven that he could see things and know things about human behavior that helped in his line of work. He started to get a phone call on his work cell, and he pulled it out of his jacket. "Anderson." He said into the speaker. "Max." a male voice said that he knew well. "What do you want, Paulin?" Max laughed. "What’s your problem?” Mack asked as he listened to the tone in the other man. Mack Paulin was a detective in the other major police force. He also happened to be a friend along with his wife Henni, who was the county medical examiner.

I stared back plainly and so did he. 'Hayden Octavius Martinez. Chief Detective of the New York Police Department.' 'Reina Clementine Romano. CEO of the Romano's ' I said while shaking his outstretched hand. He then swung a chair and placed it on the only spare side between me and Narcissus and then also began eating the food on my plates. None of them had manners. Tell me why I am not surprised at all? I got up and left the table but heard footsteps follow behind.

I peer sleepily at the clock while trying to unplug the phone from the charger and bring it to my ear. It’s a little after three, which means nothing good. “Detective Street,” I answer gruffly. “Street, this is Detective Zimmer,” he barks. Zimmer works out of another precinct; he’s new to homicide and I don’t know him well. “I saw the bulletin you released yesterday. I’m at a scene and I think it’s connected to your guy.” Rolling out of bed, I head to my closet to gear up. I wait for Zimmer to give me his location before ending the call and shoving the phone into my pocket.
