Jessica narrows her eyes at that. “Don’t tell me you’re involved in anything shady,” she says. “I’d hate to arrest someone on my night off.” Kai raises his eyebrows. “I run legal businesses and have no shady deals,” he replies. “And what about you? The detective looked at them, thinking deeply. “Leo, I never said it was an attacker. I only said there was a break in,” the detective said, peering into the eyes of Leo and Lori, as though all the answers he needed were in their eyes.

Lunatte didn’t know what it was. “Detective is still trying to find evidence that Mommy is innocent. Everything has been going smoothly so far.” Adeline nodded her head. “That detective. What’s his name? Is he great? Mommy, are you sure he helped Mommy solve the case?” asked Adeline again. Lunatte chuckled. “He is more than great, Adeline. You need not doubt him.” “Is it true? What’s his name?” asked Adeline again, because the core question had not been answered.

Bella's eyes lit up with relief as she cried out, "Christiano, help me! I don't understand what they're saying." Cristiano's gaze scanned the room, his eyes locking onto the detective before he introduced himself. "I'm Christiano Louis, Bella's lawyer." The detective had a puzzled look on his face, his eyes lingering on the lawyer who stood right in front of his eyes. For a moment, he seemed taken aback by the his striking appearance. Clearing his throat, he composed himself and gestured for Christiano to take a seat.

Detective Sullivan attempted his way over towards me, but barely passed Elizabeth when Captain Johnston’s voice was heard throughout the room. “Anderson! My office!” I take one last look at Elizabeth before sulking my way into his office. “Captain.” I say shaking his hand. “Detective Anderson. I didn’t expect to see you back in my office, let alone my squad room. How have you been?” His calm demeanor taking me by surprise. I half expected the same reaction I had gotten from Elizabeth. The way I left everything; I was amazed he wasn’t yelling down my throat.
