Why couldn't I stop him? I promised myself not to be like them...then why? "Fuc*!" I hear him curse as he retreats. His eyes changing colour from pitch dark to his normal blue ones. Showing he was struggling to get back control. But the damage was already done now.

I will look death in the face and spit in its eye. He stands over me-the great beast I spent my life hating. I was told my dragon captor would be blue and he is. Though blue doesn't quite cover the shades of color rippling over his scales. From the fairest blue sky to the dark of the moon, the light illuminates his incredible hide. His monstrous body is larger than I ever imagined. And his eyes. Their stunning blue depths hold nothing but death. "What are you staring at, female?"

she repeated. He chuckled and ran his hand through his dark hair, which caught the light of the moon and made it look like satin threads. “My name is Slate,” he told her, looking her right in the eyes. “I know the dragon well, Princess, because… I am the dragon.”

No, it couldn’t be… The large beast flapped its serpentine wings above her head as it came in for a landing. It’s scales took on the color of honey, shining like mirrors in the sun, and it landed with the grace of a blue heron, as it’s onyx talons clacked against the concrete patio. Madchen gasped as the beast shook it’s shiny scales, and sitting atop its head were two beautiful black horns. Ruby eyes blinked in the morning mist, eyes that looked vaguely familiar to her.

It walks past a house with its light slightly contributing to that of the moon, a brighter image of the figure is visible. It is human. A girl. Definitely in her late teens. Her eyes are red as flames. Amber. Her gaze is faint and fuzzy like she can only see what is exactly in front of her. Her dress is white, assuming the dirt and unknown substances are cleaned off it. ***

Kyle growled. I thought my father was scary, but Kyle… He was the new evolution. His claws were sharp but not as sharp as Ryu’s, with dusty black fur that made him look like the old wolf from several tales. His ears were hairy, his eyes brown and somehow cute, but his face was stern and fierce. He growled as his black tail rose up, swinging around as he held his sword. “Show me what you’ve got.”

“You still haven’t been called to summon. Maybe you’ll get nothing, too. Let’s see if you can still joke after that.” Kilvic had never seen his friend’s face pale any faster. Moss’ summoning went as smoothly as was expected. When the smoke cleared it revealed a horned blue frog the size of a full gown man’s torso. A Denbraeti. Its poison was potent enough to kill a full grown man in a day, effect paralysis in a mage of their standing and stun a master mage for enough seconds to turn the tide of a fight. Moss seemed pleased as he staggered back.

"You-You need to run! That's a Devil , Nat- the Devil." She finally seemed to realize that there was someone close behind her and she whirled around to face him again. He knew the picture he made standing there over her. Demon eyes glowing through the smoke and twisted black metal armor covering much of his body. His crowned helmet sported horns that curled up and back making him appear taller and infinitely more terrifying. He didn't really need armor, but he wore it anyway for occasions such as this. He enjoyed the way her throat bobbed as she tried to swallow past her own fear. She held up her trembling blade against him and his head tilted as he smiled down at her.

Well, he's not a man; he's a werewolf. Perhaps werewolves are similar to some species in the animal kingdom. They can be similar to Bearded Dragons, changing sex from male to female, depending on their reproductive needs. Or like the “Nemo” in children's cartoons, the Clownfish, who live in groups of males dominated by a female, who, when she dies, another male becomes a female to replace her, in a process called dichogamy. Something like that should make submissive werewolves able to have children.
