The first wave of his attack would hit before sunrise. Devandra leaned back in his chair, a grim smile forming. “Let’s begin,” he whispered. “Let’s see how the little hero and his accomplice handle the chaos I’m about to unleash.” And somewhere deep inside, the thrill of power and vengeance coursed through him, intoxicating and dangerous. He was ready to burn everything—and everyone—if it meant proving that he could never be defeated. The night seemed quiet, but the storm was already in motion, hurtling toward Arga and Vania’s world.

His face didn’t hold any emotion like sadness or whatnot, but from his eyes, I could read it all. My lips parted at the realization. Was he really apologizing to me? Alejandro? The man whose authority could move mountains at will? The man they call IL DIAVOLO? ~The devil Was I dreaming? Yeah, maybe. That definitely had to be it. Never in a million years would Alejandro ever admit that he was wrong. No. I moved back a little to be sure I heard him correctly. “What?” I asked, and as if that snapped him back to reality, he frowned.

I breathed out, taking a seat beside him. “ Who would've thought that Rico could something so evil?” He remarked, his face twisted in disgust. I chuckled sadly— I was just as surprised as him, it was as though something possessed him or something because the Rico I knew was very delicate. Now I'm finding out that he worked for a cult and that he'd always wanted Alex dead. For someone who told me he loved me. It was a lot to take in. “ I guess we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.” I replied, my memories going back to the time when Rico made my heart race, when he made emotions swirl within me but now, all I felt was rage. I hated him so much.

"And what if you are?" His lips curved. Dark. Dangerous. "Then you should pray, Elena Rossi. Because the devil does not let go of what belongs to him." He turned and walked away. I stood there frozen, realizing I had walked into a cage made of gold and glass. And the devil held the only key.

* Boom* a very loud like explosion sound was heard from where the devil and Celea fell, the interaction made the whole ground shake and even crack Celea had the upper hand in this fight but the devil isn't gonna give up just like that he then looked in the direction of Azar and Celea let her guard down to make sure Azar is still alive, he was indeed safe, she fell into the devils trap of making her lower her guard he then stood up very fast and stubbed her with his sword

Wolves collided with the shadows of those wings, thrown across the room as blood and instant death erupted. Vivica froze, eyes wide, her chest rising as she watched the devil himself descend upon them. The dark blue aura surrounding him pressed against her burning skin, sending a thrill along her heated skin, and desire, through her. All the rumors about him turned out to be true. He was the Devil. The real Devil. Finn stepped forward deliberately, each movement slow, lethal, deliberate. He stopped just in front of her, the room now deathly silent except for the beat of her pulsing heat.

“Why the hell would I touch your shit? We have a code. A line. I don’t cross it. You know that.” “I saw the proof. The mark, the frequency. It was your operation.” I gritted my teeth. “Someone played both of us. And you—being the reckless, senile old bastard you are—decided to act before confirming shit.” There was a pause. “Watch your mouth, boy,” Antonio warned, voice sharpening. “Watch yours. You broke protocol. You brought a war to my goddamn house without making a single call to verify. You endangered my woman.”

But I welcomed it. Because it had begun. The pit beneath the altar glowed with fire. The Devourer… it was rising. Slowly, its true form began to come from the pit. I had awakened the devourer once but its true form would come now because of the eclipse. It would also be in its greatest power. Its form started to take shape. Smoke came out, curled like serpents. It had dark wings that seemed made from the shadows of nightmares. Scaled limbs clawed their way out. It was huge. Terrifying. Beautiful in the most monstrous way.

she whispered, her breath cold against my skin, “you belong to him.” A shiver crawled down my spine. She didn’t let me pull away. “The Devil is one of a kind,” she whispered. “Do you understand what that means?” I shook my head once. Barely. She pressed a kiss to my cheek, soft and dry. “It means remember yourself,” she said, pulling back just enough to meet my eyes again. “So you don’t drown in him.” The words hit like a prophecy.
