***** ~Author’s POV~ “My, my, my…” Vesper purrs, blowing an air kiss. “My Sweet Possession. I knew you’d come to me.” Lucy glares at him, hatred burning in her eyes. He looks exactly as he did in her nightmares— Towering with broad-shoulders, eyes like pits of shadow, sharp canine teeth. Long, glowing fingers twitching with dark energy, his hair black as midnight. Vesper is the embodiment of a devil’s charm. He's beautiful, deadly and soulless.

"You gave her that money willingly. Last I checked, you were practically celebrating. So happy about this." "Things changed." She changed them. "She's in my territory now, Dmitri. That's all that matters." A beat of silence. Then — "The devil is coming down to hell, gentlemen." His voice dropped away from the phone as he announced it to the room. "Brace yourselves." I ended the call. Good mood. Excellent, in fact. Time to let the beast out.

“What did we do? Ophelia was right, that’s not a nature spirit.” Denver held the gun with a steady hand, his voice trembling with excitement. “It’s a demon, Coop. Yeah, they exist. Fucking wild, isn’t it? Those bitch ass nature spirits won’t help us, but these creatures—these Gods—they will. They’ll give us everything we want and more.” Coop reared back as if slapped, “What the fuck? Den, listen to me. We can’t do this. We can’t mess around with this shit. Look at that thing!”
