Diamond Cutters Sonic Novels & Stories

Duncan was the IT for me. “Do you know what this is?” his voice was scruffy, hoarse to be exact. I craned my neck to stare at where his voice was coming from, and before I could fully turn, I was met with the sight of a very white leather band, lined with... “A collar.” -over a million diamonds.

Instead, they would hide like venomous snakes in the shadows, waiting for a moment when he let down his guard to strike. Ray had no intention of living with that kind of threat hanging over his head. At this point, he no longer cared about exposing his abilities. He paused briefly, opened a spatial portal beneath his feet, and fired three more sonic stones. Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. They streaked toward Lucas and the others in pursuit. A "sonic stone" earned its name because it truly traveled at the speed of sound—about 340 meters per second. And how far away were Lucas and the others? Less than a hundred meters.

How in the name of the beloved Goddess am I still alive? I wanted to curl up and slip into death like the other people, but then the sound of the horses grew louder. Instinctively I dived below the table we dined on only minutes ago, and tried to listen in on the people approaching. The sound of the horses stopped as the people arrived at the scene, and there was silence for a while. Then someone spoke up. "Well, well. It seems it worked." The voice sounded familiar: too familiar, it made my skin crawl.

Lionel's old-looking face was plastered with an arrogant expression. Lucas wanted to laugh. It was his very first time wanting to burst into laughter ever since he traveled to this parallel world. "Lionel, if you want to kill me, Lucas York, feel free to do it." Lucas looked at Lionel coldly. Lionel smiled faintly. "Since you want to die, I shall grant you your wish!" Then, Lionel took out his Furious Neptune Saber. Swoosh! A cold ray appeared, and the precious saber was shot out!

They literally skyrocketed at Michael, who was taken aback for a moment. The Devils began with excellent teamwork, their movements swift and deadly. Lutan threw both Madeus and Balphegar, who in turn made strong, dark coil-like substances to hold onto Lutan. They then threw him like a rock from an overstretched slingshot, propelling him towards the speeding Michael. Lutan broke the sound barrier as he went at unbelievable speeds, his dark red and gold Saber forming into a spear as he closed in on Michael. But Michael was quick to react, blasting Lutan away with a sonic boom right from his mouth as he said the word, "Too Slow."

he sneered. “Not quite,” I replied, my voice cold. I fired, hitting his leg. He crumpled to the ground, the diamond slipping from his grasp. I quickly retrieved it, securing it in my pocket. The IntelComm buzzed again. “Allison, status report.” “I’ve got the diamond,” I said, relief flooding through me. “Returning to base.” “Good work,” Viktoh’s voice came through, tinged with pride. “We’ll cover your exit. Stay safe.”

Julian asked, his hand sliding toward the heavy tactical knife at his belt. "Four. No, five," I corrected, my voice trembling. "They’re using the same masking tech I have. My sensors can barely pick them up." "Then they can't see us either," Julian reasoned. "They don't need to see us, Julian. They have sonic trackers. They’re listening for our heartbeats." As if on cue, a soft ping echoed through the tunnel. It was a sonar pulse, high-pitched and painful. "Elias, suppressors!" I commanded.

He didn't speak for a long beat. "Better?" she asked, smoothing the silk. Sion stood up, buttoning his jacket. He walked over to her, reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a ring box—velvet, heavy, and definitely not a prop. He opened it to reveal a diamond so large it looked like a weapon.

"Zack, get your head down! Those aren't survey drones!" Victor’s boots slammed into the lunar dust, sending a grey plume spiraling upward in the weak gravity. He lunged, grabbing Zack by the back of his tactical vest and hauling him behind a jagged obsidian ridge. A fraction of a second later, a beam of concentrated sonic energy shrieked over their heads. The rock hissed. Cracks spider-webbed through the stone where the sound hit.

The day before our wedding, my fiance, Brandon Foster, and his girl bestie pulled out their wedding certificate at the casino. Brandon shrugged as he said, "It's just a joke—we'll be divorced tomorrow, and everyone knows that Wanda and I are strictly platonic." Wanda Stiles, however, was smiling provokingly. "Come on—they say marriage is sacred, so you guys can quit gawking already and hand us our wedding presents!" Everyone around the table laughed, with someone saying, "Alright! I own a business in the West End, and you can have it for your wedding… if you beat me at the dice game. Table rules." I didn't argue and merely sat at the table, smiling faintly as I met Brandon's frown. "The
