Dear Diary, My therapist said I should write down my thoughts and my feelings in this journal. I don't know if this will help me or not, but I am tired of waking up in hysterical tears and not being able to tell anyone why. It is scary to see the different scenes in my head and not know what they mean or remember the circumstances around the different dreams.

“Goodnight Jane.” The click of the door made her realize that she was once again alone in her room and a shiver ran down her spine. Her arms wrapped around herself and goosebumps ran along her arms. Jane pulled out a notebook from her backpack and sat down on her bed. She tore an empty page from her book and made two columns. Pro’s and Con’s. She couldn’t trust her own feelings, but this way she could make sense of things on paper.

LESLIE’S JOURNAL ENTRIES 001 ******* Dear Diary, Scratch that. Dear Journal? Well, you’re sort of pink, handmade and gotten from the roadside stall of a little girl working on some class project so maybe you're really a diary. However, I am going to pretend this is a journal and this is the beginning of me journaling my new life in a new city. I read somewhere online that it’s a therapeutic practice. For me, it’s an escape. The only way I can express myself in a world where I feel more alone than I have ever been.

Curious, I looked down and saw a thick notebook with a hardbound cover. I picked it up and the front page says '2016'. I opened it as I sat on my mom's bed. January 1st of 2016 Dear diary, Happy new year! I am glad to greet this year with a bang! With my husband and my lovely daughter with me? I couldn't ask for more. They're my everything.

It was as if the world outside had disappeared in a blanket of ink. Her body felt heavy, and she decided to sit on the bed. It was pretty soft, and it was nothing like she'd ever been on. She opened the drawer and saw a small, leatherbound journal with the name Dorothy Stein on it. Carefully, she opened the peeling leather covers and read the first entry, which was miraculously legible.

This way, she has another chance to live. …… His diaries were concise, but reading them made my eyes well up with tears.

“They found out I have the code. I don’t know how, but… I’ve seen them watching me. I’ve been followed. Two nights ago, someone tried to break into my place. My first memoir in a new diary. My old diary was filled with stories and stories of girls I've fucked and turned but after this incident that happened on 23/4/2027 I had to start a new diary. So...
