Disventure Camp Emily Novels & Stories

Isolated in mind but sorrounded in physical, Emily sat on a log of wood as she observed the crowd of friends who were savouring every moment of fun they were experiencing. It was summer holiday and unfortunately for her she had been trapped in this summer camp deep in the woods with these people, she rubbed her palms bringing a warm feel on it desperately trying to calm her nerves.

It had a small kitchen with an electric stove and a small dining area. While Matt, Emma, and Mike had never had a reason to stay inside the house, Danni, Beth, Sarah, and Missy had always stayed in the house, so it was a wonder why they even called it camping in the first place. The three outside usually just slept next to each other in sleeping bags, pillows thrown down on the ground around a campfire. Mike was inevitably asked to bring the tent every time, and it ended up being erected and never used, save to hold clothes and other valuables if it started raining. Emily had never actually gone camping with them before leaving for California. Her mother, before leaving, had been really stri

Well, even if he did, she didn’t think she was ready for that all over. She decided to push her feelings aside and focus on enjoying her summer at camp. But little did she know that her feelings for Jace would be tested unplanned in ways she never imagined. Emiliana spent the first few days at camp participating in different activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, and archery. She met new friends and enjoyed the fresh air and the beautiful scenery. One day, she was walking back to her cabin after dinner when she saw Jace sitting on a log by the campfire. His face was illuminated by the orange glow of the flames. Emiliana hesitated for a moment but then decided to approach him.

She even grumbled under her breath that the soup, bread, and cookies had been her only real meal in over seventy two hours. She noticed that Gabriel was being really quiet again, but she figured that maybe he just wasn’t a big talker. Emily was finding it comforting being able to tell someone everything. She continued with her story about the disaster at dinner, and cracking her head on the marble floor. She told how Mrs. Kingsley had felt bad for her and helped her escape. Emily told him about running all night through the woods and about finding the cub again. This time she went into a little more detail about trying to carry the cub and them taking a nap in the tree.

She chuckled at her stupiditiy of even thinking about about Joshua. She told herself that the whole reason for this camping trip was to make her forget their first meeting. So staying true to her words she will do just that. Even if he is here or even if he is with his girlfriend she wouldn’t care. More reasons to rubbed in her hatred for him and moved on with ease. Would she be proud of the person she had become, or would she be ashamed? When they arrived at the cabin, Emily felt a sense of relief wash over her. Dust motes danced in the soft glow of candlelight as Emma's eyes scanned the room, eager to unravel the mysteries of her past. Elder Ethan led her to a weathered tome tucked away in a corner, its pages yellowed with age. He carefully opened it, revealing a beautifully illustrated account of the Moonrise Legacy.
