"Well, at least I like antelope." "Have you ever even met one?" I rolled my eyes and lay against his chest. My hand found his, he squeezed. "Don't be ridiculous, you don't meet antelope, you discover them in the wild, and I can attest to them being completely friendly. Clearly, it's the ants you need to worry about. And the local girls with glasses who somehow know how to pack a punch in tiny little bodies." "Sorry." I cringed, ducking my head into his chest further. "But look? I'm lying down with you and the ants."

The Island

The Island

Ant bellowed loud enough to heard over half the Island. "So she's telling you that you'll be able to play the field and have some fun, and if there's no action happening, it's cool with her to get some Jasmine time?" "It's not going to work like that though," Mark frowned. He was really worried that emotions would start coming into play if he was bringing chicks back, or how he would react if he knew she was out on a date. "Not if you're more emo than a sparkly fucking vampire-loving teenage girlie-boy," Ant told him.

A Blood-Like Rain (All the Hounds of Hell #2)

A Blood-Like Rain (All the Hounds of Hell #2)

— Ylva — There are things that aren’t done. A single ant doesn’t run towards an elephant screaming blooding murder with the hope of toppling it over. That ant is going to get squashed, bad. This is a truth that no one would dispute. But for some reason, anything that has at least a little bit of human in them, seems to forget this fact quickly. It’s like we can’t accept our own position in the world, and keep wanting for more.

Fated To The Vampire

Fated To The Vampire

"But bugs are really interesting, don't you think? They have existed longer than humans and there are billions of different species. Even here, right now, I bet I could find like... a lot of them." "Try," Anton easily suggested. So Shay crouched down and started looking. "We can eat them together." "I don't think I want to eat them now, that was just a... weird kid thing," Shay chuckled, but found one right away. A translucent worm. She picked it up and observed it for a moment, before showing it to Anton. "I had a weird kid once," Anton mumbled as he picked up the worm. "Good job. Are you going to look for more?"

Rejected By The Alpha, Crowned By Fate

Rejected By The Alpha, Crowned By Fate

I frowned even harder as I scratched the mark lightly, hoping the irritating sensation would disappear, but it didn't. The tiny bites continued one after another, making the strange feeling even harder to ignore. I checked the other door connected to the bedroom—the restroom—but it was empty. He wasn't there. The crawling and biting sensation intensified. It now felt like hundreds of tiny soldier ants were moving around the mark, biting little by little. I scratched it. What was happening? A mate mark wasn't supposed to feel like this. Several of my friends had found their mates over the years... None of them had ever mentioned experiencing anything like this on the first night they received

Boyfriend for Sale

Alex has a habit of collecting bugs from outside and bringing them in, if only to watch how they interact when faced with his probing fingers. One day, he asks Shantal if animals feel pain. “Some of them do,” Shantal nods. "Animals with complex nervous systems feel pain but I know some insects don’t because they’re so primitive.” “Am I like an insect then?” Alex asks, lifting his finger to show the tiny moth clinging to his fingertip.

The Underworld Trials of Luna

The Underworld Trials of Luna

“But honestly, can you blame people for wanting to live somewhere that attempts to simulate the world that they left?” “No,” I say, the world coming out on a happy little breath as I grin, kind of delighted by all the variety of life here in this wasteland of a world. I watch eagerly as a little dog with eight legs floats by, carried neatly by three sets of beating wings that mean none of its eight little feet ever have to touch the ground. “No, I can’t say that I blame them at all.” “Don’t let her distract you, Princess,” Anton murmurs, giving me a little nudge with his elbow. “We’ve still got a job to do.”

awesome continuity... please if you continue for the other characters, show it in the description like you did for the book 2. there's another book with the same names of Ellie and Dominic and I was confused. I really hope there's a Rafe and Mark book.

I cannot say nearly enough positive things about this book. It’s both a stand alone incredible story, as well as an amazing addition to the universe of “alphas surrogate”. I hope the author continues this family’s stories through other characters lives as well. Her writing is my favorite on this app

He then shrugged me heading to the animal room. When we got to the animal room, my whole face furrowed. “What happened to them?” I curiously asked after seeing all the animals are full of blood and dead. “You tell me. I know you could feel their feelings.” Dr. Gilbert strode closer to those dead animals. “I can feel their all terrified. But why?” I raised my hands sideways. “Animals are more sensitive about feelings. These kinds of scenario prove two things. I have heard it decades ago.” He sniffed out the blood from the dead rabbit.

My Seven Gorgeous Women

My Seven Gorgeous Women

Ants as tall as humans looked quite frightening. Yara played his flute to attack with the sound waves. There was a crack, and a giant ant's leg broke. Fortunately, they were not as powerful as their scary exteriors. Yara felt slightly relieved. Despite being cultivators whose powers surpassed ordinary people, Willow and Lisa were still women, after all. They were scared speechless at the sight of these disgusting things. On normal days, they could step on these ants. However, these ants had suddenly grown into giants and had powers that were equivalent to theirs. They could not accept this.

Feelings with fire

Sarah pov I was about to assist in the kitchen when I noticed they have had some personal discussion, I decide not to pry in and move to another room when the food was ready, I came to join them which we all ate in silence. I proffer to clean the dishes and they told me they are going out. I was in the kitchen when I noticed someone is trying to get into my head, I thought it was my wolf but then this was not how my wolf communicates with me. "who is there," I asked in my head as I was very tensed
