I asked myself, letting out a shriek as I stumbled backward. My voice must have been loud because Liam was suddenly at the door, knocking. "I'm fine," I muttered, but he kept knocking. "If I'm bleeding, does that mean... it was real?" Questions flooded my mind. "Macy, what's going on? Are you okay?" Liam’s voice came through the door. "I said I'm fine, please!" I snapped, irritation creeping into my tone.

Danny was back three minutes later, pushing the piercing tray inside the room, he pulled the chair to a straight position, I sat on it. He frowned, "I told you not to to play with the tongue piercing!" He scolded. "I know! But I can't help it!" I pouted at him. He just shook his head and started to explain why it was bad to play with my piercing. It went inside my left ear, and got out from my right ear almost instantly. "-You get it?" He asked. "Yup." "You didn't hear anything I hear I said right?" He sighed. "Nope." I said confidently.

However, he was too slow. As he moved to counter, a jolt ran through the dominant strength shield enveloping him. A searing pain tore through his left ear, followed by the whizzing sound of something slicing the air. Even a powerhouse like him only caught a blur, a seemingly trivial pebble that had flown from afar, effortlessly piercing his dominant strength shield and shredding his left ear to pieces. Blood and flesh scattered. His already grotesque face contorted in horror as blood gushed down his neck, soaking his collar in a chilling crimson tide.

I grabbed a cotton ball and cleaned his ear, then positioned the piercing gun on the spot I marked out. "Okay, take a deep breath." I suggested and he rolled his eyes, causing me to laugh. I pulled the 'trigger' and when I removed it, I smiled at my job well done. But this was only the first ear. Landon hadn't even flinched in the slightest and this made me wonder if he was even human.

He takes my face in the palm of his hands and inspects me. “Your nose is bleeding.” He says as he rubs at my nose with the sleeve of his sweater.

“Arghhh!” I let go of the pistol. The thud to the ground was somewhat deafening. I reached for my ears, gripping it tightly, but the ringing only seemed to grow louder. Slowly I fell to the ground from the pain in my head and ears. I was almost certain that my ears were bleeding at this point. The ringing had amplified a thousand notches, leaving me groaning and grasping for air that was just out of reach.

Blood. "Blake, stop. You are hurting yourself." Nero's quiet words pierced the haze that clouded my senses as I realized I was bleeding heavily from my nose and out my ears like waterfalls. My eyes widened, my heart dropping. "Blake, stop!! I am begging you!!" He sounded almost hysterical now, desperation clawing at his throat with the force of a viper. "You are only going to hurt yourself further."

He can also hear the popping sound of his skin being pierced, as if he has been drugged and then stabbed by someone with a needle, but he can still hear it without pain. Then, drops of black blood oozed out from dozens of needle holes.

Upon closer inspection, the doctor realised that she was bleeding from her ears as well. Austin noticed his grim expression. "What's wrong?" The doctor never stopped moving his hands while he explained her condition. "She has really bad burns and deep wounds that requires stitching. But these aren't a problem. The worrisome issue is the bleeding from her ears. Her eardrums may be ruptured, but there is a chance that it's not. Let's hope for the best." Austin clenched his fists and felt overwhelming regret for allowing her to leave his side. Before he got consumed in his sadness and guilt, a firm hand was placed on his shoulder. "Let's help in any way we can for now."
